We took an afternoon trail ride at the LDGR. There were 3 adults & 1 child. The horses were great as was our guide Richard. The other guide Isaiah was there to help saddle up the horses was also great. For those that want more adventure, go enter a rodeo. This is just a very scenic and relaxing ride up... More

Hal and Sharon are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were splendid and the setting exceptional. An unexpected pleasure was visiting with Hal and Sharon. The animals (bison, horses, mule, dogs, cats, and two (giant) rabbits are friendly (except the bison) and well cared for. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton or the Millennium Biltmore, then look further. If you... More

We had a lovely stay for three nights at the Dove ranch. Hal and Sharon welcomed us into their home, providing the best breakfasts we've eaten... Made to order eggs, omelet, pancakes accompanied by their homemade huckleberry jams and syrups (also fresh fruit, sausage or bacon). Our room was comfortable, with a great view of the buffalo from our window.... More

Went on a 2 hour trail ride with our family and had a blast. The wrangler was helpful & friendly (esp for our kids who were inexperienced)...made our ride a fun adventure! The owners of the ranch were super friendly...the ranch dog Dusty was pretty darn friendly too (bought lots of homemade goodies from the store) and we can't wait... More

Just had a wonderful trip to the lonesome dove B&B. Hosts could not do enough for us. Delicious breakfasts. Animals are friendly and well care for. Wrangler. Lead us on a good ride on well behaved horses. I highly recommend this ranch vacation.

Spent a delightful three plus hours here as part of a bus tour group. What made the visit memorable was not the food or drink (although both were delicious); rather, it was the warmth and hospitality of the ranch owners, Hal and Sharon, and the wit and wisdom of Terry and Judy who provided great entertainment before during and after... Hal and Sharon were wonderful host/esses for the 4 nights and 5 days my family of 3 spent in Kallispell, MT at the Lonesome Dove Ranch. Breakfast each morning was generous and delicious... My picky 15 year old eater was extremely happy with Mr. Hal's morning foods! We slept comfortably and enjoyed the western motif throughout the ranch house. We... More

My husband, mother in law and I recently spent 10 days in the Flat Head Lake area of which we spent several staying in the B&B at the Lonesome Dove Ranch. Its a beautiful property with animals galore, horses, chickens, bison, cattle, dogs, cats, wild turkeys and bunny's. We absolutley loved our stay in this idealic setting. Hal is a... More

BEWARE: Had we known, and the owner hadn't promised us a different experience we would have not booked with this outfit. Our experience with LDGR was very disappointing especially to one of the couples who had never been to Montana, and were so looking forward to the ride. We definitely felt that it was not worth $500. The ride was... More

I read Barb J.’s July 31, 2013 report and couldn’t have said it any better. We too, 29 of us on a Northwest NP tour, came for the experience and spend a lovely few hours at the Lonesome Dove Ranch. Here we got a true taste of life on a rustic Montana Range and were entertained by Terry & Judy... More
