I stayed here because I was travelling with my dog. There was no fee for him and seemingly no restrictions on size. The room was only $69 +tax and there was no pet fee. Granted, I stayed here on a Monday night in the middle of December when the hotel was pretty empty, but I thought it was a good... more

The Bitterroot River Inn is about 1 mile north of downtown Hamilton, adjacent to an undeveloped city park. We were with our dog, who loved walking in the park along a stream. The room was amazingly clean. The Inn is about 10 years old but looks and feels nearly brand new. The spacious room layout was your typical floor plan... more

Stayed here for four nights in early May while attending a friend's wedding. The staff was friendly. Rooms were quiet. Bed was comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here, and would, without question, recommend this as the place to stay when visiting Hamilton. Make sure to ask for the WiFi password at the front desk. Once signed in, had no... more

Recently I visited Hamilton on business. Also brought along my wife and 3 year old daughter. We had never visited Hamilton before. We selected the Bitterroot because it is the only lodging in Hamilton with an indoor pool. In short, the people were polite, the log decore tasteful, and the room was more then adequate. . I almost selected another... more

My family of 4 stayed at the Bitterroot to be near by a family wedding. I found the place to be an odd mix of really good and plain old bad. The front desk people seemed bored and weren't especially helpful. The room was clean but impossibly hot, and the only why to cool down was to blast both AC... more

We arrived at approximately 1:30 am on June 22 and found the following problems: 1. Our suite had 1 king bed and 1 queen sofa sleeper (not 1 king and 2 queens as promised). 2. The air conditioner did not work properly; it only cooled the air just inches above it in the bedroom (there was no way to regulate... more

We were concerned when we arrived, because our reservation was not exactly as we had booked. However, as it turned out, it was even better. We appeared to have been upgraded. The room was extremely comfortable. The beds were outstanding. The place was exceptionally clean. It didn't hurt a bit that there were fresh cookies available each evening (unless you... more

Took a trip to see my grandson and his little sister. They have a pool which made entertaining the kids easy. There's continental breakfast everyday that was great. It is also located next door to another restaurant and lounge. Rooms were nice sized and kept clean during our stay. The help was friendly and informative about the area. I will... more

We have stayed here twice. They gave us a very descent deal, especially for a Holiday weekend. They have very well-kept rooms and pool area. They offer a large breakfast that beats any hotel we've ever stayed in. It feels like a mountain resort with the way they've decorated the place. We'd highly recommend it to anyone. more

We had a large and gregarious group staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Hamilton, Montana for a wedding last summer (2004). It's taken me this long to write a review, but I haven't forgotten the lovely hotel, great breakfast, and gracious service - it was all a cut above the average for this chain. I believe the hotel is... more
