Recently moved to the West Coast and just took my first trip up to Mammoth. It was a last minute trip so needed to find something at short notice. The Best Western was very reasonable so wasn't expecting too much, but the property and location were perfect. Large, clean rooms, friendly staff, restaurants & a coffee shop close by, and... More

We stayed 2 nights as part of a snowmobile tour. From the moment we checked in, Jessica at the front desk provided us with outstanding customer service. The rooms were perfect, the food was fantastic and Hunter and Vicki at the bar were "awesome"! Not to mention the great view of wildlife and the river right from our room. If... More

We stayed two nights in February and found the hotel to be clean, and comfortable. I chose this hotel because they coordinate snowmobile tours of the park with Yellowstone Year Round Safaris. (see my review of them ... OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!) Checking in was a little hectic. There was only on person on staff and she was dealing with a problem... More

This is a great place to stay before entering Yellowstone park. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are clean and all come with a microwave and refrigerator. This is helpful because you don't know where you'll be in the park for lunch and can pack you own. We stay... More

Check out Jim Martin Jr.'s review for more about the hotel itself. I agree with all he said - want to tag on that Deborah was an extremely helpful trip planning partner! We used the mini bus which they have for our animal tour and she hooked us up with our snow coach into the park, snowmobiling and Julie our... More

The hotel appeared to have been renovated during the past few years. The property was clean and well maintained. The room was good sized with nice beds and linens, flat screen TV, frig and microwave. Our room was in the main building with an outside entrance as well as an inside door to the hallway leading to the office, pool... More

Extremely handy for a visit to Yellowstone, the Roosevelt Gate can be seen from the parking lot, and you have access to amenities and what-not in Gardiner. Ask about rooms overlooking the river -- the view is great; we saw bald eagles, pronghorn antelope, elk and evidence of otters from the warm sanctuary of the room! (We were there in... More

This is a great alternative to staying in Yellowstone, especially in winter. Nice hotel, clean, great bedding. Breakfast was pretty pitiful. Dried scrambled eggs, greasy sausage, canned fruit. We don't stay for the breakfast though.

The price was right and the service and breakfast out of this world! The staff went out of their way to be jovial and helpful. Fixed us up with a private winter tour of the Canyon area via snow coach, instantly. We were so impressed we kicked back for an extra day. The rooms are modest and could use a... More
