For a variety of reasons, Headwaters is a terrific B&B within five minutes of Yellowstone's north entrance. First and foremost, the owners are terrific. They know the park backwards and forwards. Not only do they both work in Yellowstone, but Tim is the chief ranger and Charissa grew up in the area. Tough to find more knowledgeable hosts. They are... More

We would highly recommend Headwaters B and B. The owners are terrific and because they work in Yellowstone you get a real insiders view. They are gracious and friendly and you get a taste of the real Montana experience. Great views of the river and mountains from your back door. Lots of good restaurants close by.

We had the pleasure of staying here for four nights. Charissa and her husband Tim both work in the park which is a great help and very informative. The best part is the hospitality, you feel welcomed the minute you step in the door. We were in The Trout room and then the Elk, both were very clean and comfortable,... More

We found our hostess to be unlike any we have encountered. She owns the open, friendly, welcoming atmosphere that led to her guests treating each other like old friends. Charissa creates fine, well-prepared breakfasts and offers interesting conversation about Yellowstone, enhanced by the work experiences there of herself and her husband, Tim. The setting, right along the Yellowstone River, offers... More

My husband and I stayed in the Bison room for 3 nights during our visit to Yellowstone at the end of August. This place made my vacation! Quaint, serene, picturesque, welcoming B & B on the Yellowstone River...Charissa and her family were excellent hosts despite it being a stressful time in their lives. Even before booking, Charissa was happy to... More

The 5 extra minutes of drive time to get to this B&B just beyond main street in Gardiner is well worth it. Right along the river, the view from the house is beautiful. Charissa and Tim are great hosts, full of information and just plain friendly. The rooms are clean and a nice size. Breakfast is great and so filling... More

We stayed on the Headwaters B&B for three nights the beginning of August. It was very clean, the breakfasts were delicious and homemade cookies greeted us after a long day in the park. Our room had the bathroom across the hall, which was no problem at all. Charissa is very knowledgeable about the park as she and her husband work... More

We recently spent three wonderful nights at this charming B&B. We actually booked the Riverview Cabin behind the home/B&B. It was the perfect size for our family of five and it was very clean. We spent one night outside with our host, her family, and other guest. We all played “kick the can”, made smores around the fire on the... More

Very good accommodation, friendly service and excellent breakfasts. Landlady Charissa provides lots of Yellowstone information, lends bear spray, makes great cookies etc. lighthouse restaurant (3 miles) is the pick of the nearby eateries. Flying Pig rafting nearby is great fun.
