My husband and I had spent the day at Yellowstone National Park and left before dusk to find lodging in nearby Gardiner. We had no idea this town, located so close to Yellowstone, is a popular tourist area. Being such, we were unable to find vacancy in Gardiner. The nearest town, Livingston, was fifty miles away. By this time it... More

We had just one night here on our way into Yellowstone, but it was magical. The welcome from Eve was warm and responsive to our needs - ice, restaurants in town, etc. and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. It's clear that the furnishings and artwork were chosen with love and care. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the... More

We enjoyed  very much our stay at your place! No words to express the wonderful time we had there and in the yellowstone park. Greg, your help and guidness, your knowledge and your will to share it with us and others impressed us! The room was nice and clean. We admire you for your commitment to the environment and to... The fun thing about staying here is that you meet the owners. We chatted with Greg about his paleo diet and watched him give a calf roping lesson. You also watch the cook make a very special breakfast with the best of local ingredients. It's healthy but also delicious. They are very free with advice on the best way to... More

Stayed at YBI for 3 nights in September. Very conveniently located and very quiet. Breakfast was good, however, not a lot to choose from for people eating low carb. It is served buffet style. Owners very helpful with suggestions for Yellowstone.

We had a great 4-night stay here and would recommend it. The room was spotless, the breakfasts were splendid and the location lovely. Greg was most helpful about places to visit in the park and places to eat. The view of the stars from the hot tub was an added bonus. Much better than other places we stayed.

It is easy to see how the Yellowstone Basin Inn gets so many excellent reviews: its location is spectacular, the property is clean and well-maintained, the rooms are large, modern, and tastefully decorated, the hot tub is very relaxing, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfasts are very healthy. It is located close to the very good Lighthouse restaurant in... More

Driving into Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, we checked in to the visitors center and acquired about opportunities for lodging for the evening. We were told EVERYTHING in the park was booked and sold out. We inquired about our odds of finding lodging in Gardiner, about 5 miles north of Mammoth Hot Springs. We were told we might... More

This place was great. The service was great: they were very helpful with our late check-in and also told us where to go for sight-seeing and dinner and even sold us bear spray for hiking. We stayed in the Northern Lights room and it was great. I had read some complaints on here about the rooms being small, but really... More
