Well located on the park’s perimeter. Very close to attractive hiking trails and the Mammoth Springs travertine. Owner provides you with kitchen supplies. The cottage is big enough for two double beds. In our cabin, the Internet connection was poor and we were not far from the source. Nice thick towels replaced everyday. If asked, owner will lend you bear... More

Old-fashioned cottages very close to the gates of Yellowstone. They are clean and comfortable with good showers, but tight on floor space and the grounds are rather bare. We had a kitchenette but there were no dishes or utinciles provided so I don't understand the point of that. We stayed only one night so it was all fine, but it... More

This was a decent place to stay. It was clean and the people there were EXCELLENT! We wanted a BBQ and they brought one right to us. We stayed one night as we were driving through Yellowstone. The downside to this cottage was the television. It was old and there weren't any channels that were provided that were interesting. Would... More

After spending a week + in the Black Hills, etc, we decided to get a motel close to Yellowstone Park. W. Yellowstone was way too expensive and after checking out Gardiner, MT, 5 miles north of the gate, we decided to stay at the Hillcrest. Darling little cabins with kitchenettes ($100.00 / 2 people), with friendly owners/staff, and altho there... More

Great little cottages in the village of Gardiner right at the north entrance to Yellowstone. The cottages are roomy, have cooking facilities, good sized bathroom, large tv, what more do you need and even a view of the mountains. The owner was very helpful when booking and offered anything needed to cook with. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We booked this based on price, location and amenities offered and we feel Annie and Art delivered on all of these. The area was quiet and within the town so nowhere was more than a 5-10 minute walk, if that. We borrowed enough crockery and kitchen utensils to be able to make ourselves basic meals but to be honest, there... More

I've been to Yellowstone about a dozen times since my first trip in 2007. I discovered Hillcrest Cottages in 2008 and have stayed there during every trip since. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and I have always been pleased with my stay. Several times I've had to slightly adjust my travel arrangements (dates and/or number of beds/rooms) and... We enjoyed our one night stay here. The cottages are in a convenient location right near the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Our cottage was very small, but clean, and well equipped with a microwave and fridge, which is always a nice touch. My only complaint was the window unit air conditioner was located in the corner, so it took... More

The rooms at Hillcrest at extremely pleasant and have all the amenities (minus a hairdryer) that you need including a microwave, coffee maker, and minifridge. The room was clean and spacious with nice little touches (artwork that references the local scenery). The satellite tv connection in our room was a bit fuzzy but who needs television when you're at the... More

Friendly Owners, excellent value for the location. Enjoyed the stay. It is a self sufficient place to stay. So if you like just doing your thing, gathering you groceries and generally being on your own. This is an excellent place. The owner will get you anything you need you just have to ask. I enjoy this type of accommodation. I... More
