We found this place in the middle of a torrential downpour, and was very glad to find it. The room was fairly small, and did not have many outlets. It also had only two tiny pillows for the queen sized bed. The breakfast was decent, and there were some nice seating arrangements outside. Very pastoral setting and friendly people.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite which had a foldout bed in the living room. The room was nice and clean and the hotel was convenient to the north YNP entrance. However the indoor pool wasn't ready for guests; it was covered with a tarp, and when an employee uncovered it, the water was cold! Oh well, the elk... More

Hello! Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your Yellowstone adventure! We are sorry that you felt the swimming pool was a bit cool. The tarp that you mentioned is actually a solar blanket that is used in cold climates to keep the water warm. Our pool has not been "closed" at any time during this season. In... More

I rented a suite because my mom and I have a hard time when we are in the same room (snoring, sleep patterns). This was perfect. There are actually two beds (not a sleeper sofa like in so many other places). It also had a full kitchen. I wish that we had booked it for our entire trip. It was... More

Spent two nights in Jackson WY exploring Yellowstone South, and two nights here at the Village Inn (Gardiner MTN) to see Yellowstone North. How sorry we were, not to have spent all four nights here at the Village Inn. Family owned, Bert, Wanda and Co. take great pride and care in seeing to every detail. The property is exquisite, comfortable,... More

We found this place by chance through google, even though we typically rely on Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor did not list this place for some odd reason on our local search. We are so happy we did. It saved us a 3 hour drive til the next town with vacancies, as every other place in town was booked due to Sturgis. This... More

Our recent stay at the Yellowstone Village Inn was great! The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They also packed us a little breakfast since we had an early flight. Anything you ask for they would try and do for you. Full disclosure: when we go to YNP we leave by 6:30am and return at 9pm so we do... More

Beautifully appointed rooms and a very helpful staff. They offer great tips about visiting the park and the local restaurants. Jason was particularly knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with upon check in. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

A previous reviewer commented that rooms are "no frills" which is a completely accurate description. Ours did not even have a set of drawers and the clothes hangers normally enclosed in a closet were bolted to the living area wall. The exterior view and lobby look much better than the rooms. On the positive, the rooms were spotlessly clean. The... More

This was a no frills, family owned hotel that was very clean and friendly. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms were sparsely decorated and rustic but very clean. We stayed on the backside of the hotel which didn't have a view but also had no noise. The lawn out front had a tether ball as well... More
