Stayed at the Westernaire Motel in Gardiner, MT. Used to be on the cheaper side - but the prices have increased. The rooms are very dated and not well kept. Dirt in the room, bugs in the bathroom (get the picture?). The highlight was the coffee pot in the bathroom (no ground fault interrupter) and basically no place to plug... More

We had spent the day in Yellowstone and there was no accommodation available throughout the Park, so we chose Gardiner as the nearest alternative from our location at Mammoth by late afternoon. This small 'Park overspill' Town takes full advantage of it's situation, with high prices for rooms everywhere. With limited choice, we took the last 2 rooms here. It... More

This place is not fancy at all but if you are looking for a spot to lay your head and possibly a last minute reservation, this is it! The service is friendly, the rooms are clean and you might just be greeted with elk on the lawn! I've stayed here twice this year, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

not much in the way of amenities, but cheaper than most. if you're looking for a spot to sleep and shower, it foots the bill quite well. also check out the Yellowstone pizza company and the little ice cream shop next to it, which are located right by the park's north entrance. we enjoyed both immensely.

Stayed here after visiting Yellowstone park, loved the scenery from the room which was stunning, this lodge style cabin, was very quaint, although found the price very expensive, which seemed to be the norm in the area, limited Tv CHANNEL'S, also the fridge was not a fridge but a fan cooler box, would expect a little more for the price... This clean comfortable motel will take you back to another era, and in a good way. It is simple but well-kept and clean. The rooms are basic, but the price is right compared to other choices in Gardiner (near Yellowstone North entrance), and the staff is friendly. It is a good choice if you are looking for something on your... More

The hotel is in desperate need of updating. The furnishings and fixtures are old and the drapes/bedspreads need to be replaced. The plust side was that it was inexpensive, the operators were friendly and helpful, and it was a quiet place to stay.

We have stayed in the Westernaire twice in recent years. It beats all the other hotels we have ever stayed in in Gardiner - which are several and top of the range. The proprietors are very helpful and friendly, the rooms basic but very clean, What more do you want ? You are there to enjoy the Park usually so... More

I priced every place in Gardiner and The Westernaire was the lowest but not by much. When we got there the rate was higher than what I was told at the time I made the reservation. The rooms are old but I don't mind it was the terrible bed and the moth eaten drapes that will keep me away in... More

The title pretty much says it all. This was a basic room with a queen bed. We were in unit #3 which had a regular bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The sink was tiny and you had to hold down the handle on the toilet to get it to flush - but every thing was clean. It did smell a... More
