Didn't look like the pictures that were on their internet site. There was a main road, a sidewalk, and one set of cottages....a gravel parking area and the other set of cottages, and then a steep drop-off down to the river. You were mostly looking across the river into neighbor's junky backyards. However, at one spot, you could see the... more

We stayed in one of the "efficiencies", which are basic motel style rooms. There was an adjoining door between our room and the adjacent one, and we were particularly unlucky one night with a rowdy neighbour. The wireless internet barely worked for the four days that we were there. We only wanted a place to sleep in the park so... more

My husband and I are not picky. As long as the motel is clean, has a bathroom and a coffee pot we are set. Riverside Cottages met the criteria. This was our 6th trip to Yellowstone. We have stayed in the park, Cody, Wy and West Yellowstone, Mt in the past. Our travel plans included driving the Beartooth Highway on... more

the owners are very nice and try to be very accommodating...however, they are working at a disadvantage in that the place is not very nice and the town of Gardiner was a disappointment, as well...from the musty smell in the room to being able to very clearly hear the guy in the next room snoring and his wife coughing it... more

This cute little cottage/village was perfect from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a warm welcome smile and superior local service. Eddie showed us pictures of the wildlife that frequents the area and showed us around to the outdoor hottub with a beautiful view of the Yellowstone River in back. When we opened up our... more

The owners of this property were very pleasant and helpful with checking in and giving tips about where to dine in town. They also have a pet duck, Lucy, who is very vocal but charming. The cabins sit above the Gardner River; when I was there, a bear was foraging on the riverbank below. The cabins were average but clean.... more

8/26/08 My family spent 3 nights this summer at the Riverside Cottages in Gardiner Mt in an efficiency unit. The owners answer all questions by e-mail or phone to help plan your vacation- they go out of their way for hospitality and try to help in any way they can. Being this was our first time in the area their... more

I stayed there three nights during last may and was very satisfied by the contact with the owners, the informations I got about places to see, things to do in the area. The room was well equipped including a coffee machine, very useful before leaving early in the fresh morning to watch wild animals in the Yellowstone park. A place... more
