I've stayed at the Pioneer Lodge- located in the one of the most historic buildings in one of Montana's most historic towns-, on 12 summer vacations. I've brought many other friends and family members with me over the years to Fort Benton and we always stay at Susie and Chuck Yager's place! We have never had the first problem and... More

Very friendly owner. Made our stay a great one. The views are spectacular from the front window where we had our morning coffee. I was there for my dads 75th birthday party and had a great stay. Will definitely stay again. The rooms have everything you need and are super clean.

Fort Benton was the transport hub of the northwest in the 1860's - 1880's as it was the hight of navigation on the Missouri. Then the railway came and time forgot Fort Benton. This hotel is in one of the many buildings from that era. Very friendly proprietor. Clean, spacious room. Recommended.

In August, 2013 we had one of those road trip nightmares - the transmission on our RV went out. We limped into Fort Benton and found fabulous, kind people and a wonderful mechanic (but that's another review!) With our motorhome in the shop, we needed a place to stay, with our 80 pound retriever. The folks at Jim Taylor Motors... More

Found out that its important to call and make sure Lodge is open. We recently were in Ft. Benton planning to stay here and unfortunately owners went out of town to get supplies and no one was available to take care of us. Small town and I guess this happens. We went back to Great Falls missing the apparent ambiance... More

We appreciate this visitor trying to stay with us, but sometimes we need to go to Great Falls for supplies and we pick a day that we have very few check-ins. This person had not called to make a reservation ahead of time, so we were not able to put a key on the door and leave the light on.... More

Stayed here the night before a canoe trip. Clean, quiet, great rate. Sat outside on bench with Susie (very nice) talking about the local area. 75 feet to the MO River, 300 feet to the Lewis and Clark Statue. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay and walk along the river or just hang out in town. But the rooms are small and have no windows, so not a great place if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room. Susie and Chuck are very friendly.

Service- Excellent! Above & Beyond Service, SAVED our adventure to canoe 149 miles of the Missouri River that is the Lewis & Clark Corp of Discovery Expedition! We had travelled over 3000 miles to discover that the local outfitters DID NOT want to ferry our canoes as it was not worth their time! But THANKS to the Pioneer Lodge and... More

A trip first imagined in the day dream of an adventurous seven year old boy. The dream rekindled forty years later by the publishing of "Undaunted Courage. The dream accomplished fifty years later with the help of proprietors Susie and Ken. Yes, the Lewis and Clark Trail. A one hundred and forty nine mile canoe ride down the Mighty Missouri... More

We stayed in the room with a queen sized bed on the main floor and two twin sized bed in the loft. The room was very comfortable with all of the amenities available for a comfortable stay. The owner (Suzie) was very personable and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The location of this hotel... More
