This is a great place to stay and walk along the river or just hang out in town. But the rooms are small and have no windows, so not a great place if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room. Susie and Chuck are very friendly.

Service- Excellent! Above & Beyond Service, SAVED our adventure to canoe 149 miles of the Missouri River that is the Lewis & Clark Corp of Discovery Expedition! We had travelled over 3000 miles to discover that the local outfitters DID NOT want to ferry our canoes as it was not worth their time! But THANKS to the Pioneer Lodge and... More

A trip first imagined in the day dream of an adventurous seven year old boy. The dream rekindled forty years later by the publishing of "Undaunted Courage. The dream accomplished fifty years later with the help of proprietors Susie and Ken. Yes, the Lewis and Clark Trail. A one hundred and forty nine mile canoe ride down the Mighty Missouri... More

We stayed in the room with a queen sized bed on the main floor and two twin sized bed in the loft. The room was very comfortable with all of the amenities available for a comfortable stay. The owner (Suzie) was very personable and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The location of this hotel... More

This motel is in an historic building in the old town center of Fort Benton. If you're thinking pool, hot tub, weight room etc, this is not your place. If you want a pristine room in a very pet-friendly place with friendly and accommodating owners at a very reasonable rate, this is your place. Get a room with a loft... More

My wife and I stayed here one night on our way home from Eastern Montana. It's hard sometimes to find a pet friendly hotel, but this hotel was very welcoming to our dog. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room. The manager was very friendly and you can tell she loves this quaint little town. Beautiful location right across the street... More

Hotel clerk was friendly enough. It would have been nicer if more attention were paid to clean the cobwebs, fridge and coffee cups. Floor was freshly vacuumed day I arrived but want vacuumed at all the rest of the week. I didn't mind the animals but they were noisy. For safety reasons I was concerned the only way out was... No windows, no air, but rooms clean and the beds ok. The rooms are inside a building that may have been a hardware store at some point. Susie, the owner, is certainly eccentric but will tolerate dogs after some grovelling. There aren't a lot of choices in Fort Benton if you travel with a dog (two) and the Pioneer Lodge... More

I am sorry that your MONTH long stay was so bad for you. We have wifi in the lobby, but do not pay for it in the upstairs apartments and sometimes the apple/mac products have trouble connecting, but we do have 2 servers. When your a/c went out, the unit was replaced with a new one, and that was the... More

Decent place to stay, clean, nothing fancy. Coffee, juice and cheap cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The rooms are unusual in that only one room on the ground level has a window onto the outside. The rest have a window onto the interior hallway. We had the one ground level room with a window, room # 9. It was actually an... More
