My son and future daughter in law chose El Western as the venue for their wedding. The grounds are immaculate and stunning with a stream and water wheel running along the property. Many of the guests stayed in a variety of cabins for five to eight days. To a person, everyone was so enchanted they are planning a return trip!... More

My husband and I had a chance to stay at the El Western in June this year and the room was great, the owner checked us in and offered to help with anything we needed. Room was very clean, had a kitchen and kitchen table and it was a very enjoyable experience. The grounds are amazing with the large spruce... More

What a wonderful place to stay! The accommodations are top notch, the staff is very friendly and the view is stunning! This is a very clean, inviting place to stay. I'll definitely be back again and will also tell all my friends and family about it.

We stayed here one night on our way to Yellowstone. All agreed we would have liked to stay another night or so. Rooms are rustic, but clean. Bathrooms are updated, ours was small though. (Our towels were a little dingy, so some bleach would help). The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Would stay again.

We are so glad your family enjoyed our lovely grounds and the vintage 1948 log cabin...even with the smallish bathroom. By today's standards, the Creekside cabins are modest in size, but with handcrafted woodworking details and workmanship that is unheard of in hotels today. Another difference is the linens that we choose. I believe that your comment about needing bleach... More

The owners of this lodge take pride in their property. Very well kept, clean and comfortable. We were here for 4 nights with the 326 Marines, then one on our own. 70 miles or so to Yellowstone, Virginia and Nevada City's close too. Stay here if you want wonderful views, quiet, comfortable surroundings. Loved every minute of this stay.

I accidentally left a $90 rechargeable tooth brush in the bathroom on departure. I called the next day to get it back and they said it is their policy to throw out ALL personal items left behind. I asked what if I left behind a wallet or expensive jewlery. All I heard was its "their policy to throw all items... More

We are very sorry you left your toothbrush behind. For hygienic and safety reasons, we do not keep or attempt to store personal care items such as combs, brushes, razors, toothbrushes and undergarments in our lost and found. We are happy to return forgotten items and over the years have sent back cell phones, car keys, watches, cameras, a diamond... More

15 or so years ago my late husband and I were headed for West Yellowstone after a days driving in that beautiful country. We spotted the El Western, turned around, spent a night and have been coming back almost every year since. I now bring my sons fly fishing with me and they look forward to their stay at the... More

El Western lies barely on the outskirts of Ennis, and although it's on a main thoroughfare, our creekside log cabin was quiet all night. The spacious room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. El Western was just the right spot for us to spend a night after a day on the road. We even joined in the fun at... More

I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stop over for the night on my drive from Many Glacier to Wyoming. It was such a lovely neat cabin and the grounds are immaculately maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the lovely lady at the front desk helped with whatever requests we needed. I loved looking at the water... More

What a find. If you're travelling through this often forgotten part of Montana, your visit will be made even more pleasant by staying at El Western. The cabins are absolutely spotless and well appointed for those who wish to prepare their own meals. Our hosts were extremely helpful even providing us with photos of the bear that made an unexpected... More
