15 or so years ago my late husband and I were headed for West Yellowstone after a days driving in that beautiful country. We spotted the El Western, turned around, spent a night and have been coming back almost every year since. I now bring my sons fly fishing with me and they look forward to their stay at the... More

El Western lies barely on the outskirts of Ennis, and although it's on a main thoroughfare, our creekside log cabin was quiet all night. The spacious room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. El Western was just the right spot for us to spend a night after a day on the road. We even joined in the fun at... More

I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stop over for the night on my drive from Many Glacier to Wyoming. It was such a lovely neat cabin and the grounds are immaculately maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the lovely lady at the front desk helped with whatever requests we needed. I loved looking at the water... More

What a find. If you're travelling through this often forgotten part of Montana, your visit will be made even more pleasant by staying at El Western. The cabins are absolutely spotless and well appointed for those who wish to prepare their own meals. Our hosts were extremely helpful even providing us with photos of the bear that made an unexpected... More

Went to Montana on a fishing trip and chose El Western for our stay. No prior knowledge except TripAdvisor reviews were favorable. The cabins were very, very nice. Rustic, as you would expect in the middle of Montana, but very well maintained. Nice cabin layout, great bathrooms, however the shower was small for me, large living room area with satellite TV.... I don't know how they do it but they keep this place immaculate and timeless with well manicured lawns, comfortable cabins with kitchens, knotty pine throughout and a quiet, peaceful ambience. It offers a very nice place to stay for families, fishermen and people on tour. We alwalys look forward to another visit. The service is responsive and on top... More

Each year my husband and I plan a trip to Ennis, specifically to stay at El Western. We bring books and magazines and a few snacks. We read, take rides, fish, and shop. This vacation is our quiet time. Our relaxing time! The cabins are vintage. We love the no nonsense of them. We love that they are clean and... More

We have stayed at the El Western for years and seem to enjoy it more each time. The friendly staff makes you feel at home; the grounds are so beautiful and serene; the pristine clean cabins are kept current with their western theme which suits the area perfectly. After traveling to this area many times, we highly recommend the El... More

The El Western is a really nice place to stay. The cabins seem not to have been updated in the past few decades, the beds are not exactly the W Bed, but everything is kept real clean and the lawn is immaculate. The owners are super nice, the rates are reasonable, and the views are gorgeous. I would definitely stay... More

Very nice cabins and lodges. Spent a weekened there after a week in yellowstone camping. Very peaceful, visually beautiful area. Staff very pleasant, rooms a bit outdated but nice, clean, and comfortable. A great place to relax.
