The Rising Sun Motor Inn is in a great location directly on the Going to the Sun road. You are in a National Park in the mountains, so there is no TV and no phone but the room did have a coffee pot which was one step up from the much liked Swiftcurrent Motor Inn. The room had a nice... More

It's almost as if your a pioneer! We had a wonderful time at Glacier National Park, even though our time was cut short do to a freak early September snowstorm. Our plan was to drive the Going to the Sun Road and go to Logan's Pass and hike around, when we got the the road was only open for 19... More

We stayed here 3 nights and were very pleased with it. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was no TV, but who goes to a fabulous national park to watch TV anyway. The view from our front porch of the mountains was lovely. It was fascinating to watch them change as the sun rose and set. We happened... More

A message of thanks to Jason Lee. Jason came to my assistance on Thurs 9/11/14. I had scagged my head on a tree branch it had ripped open a vein. Being a firstaider he was able to cauterize and dress the wound. Thank you Jason once again for help at a difficult time.I received further care at Choteau hospital, (13... More

We stayed three nights here in a room adjacent to the store. On the plus side, it was clean, water was hot and it was close to the Two Dog Café and hiking areas within the park. On the negative side, the room was very sparse; there was only one nightstand, one chest of drawers, and one chair. Hardly anywhere... More

Our room was great-clean and comfortable. Our room had 2 double beds that were very comfortable. Small, clean bathroom. We were disappointed that the St Mary's tour boat had quit running for the season but we hiked instead. It's right on Going-to-the-Sun Road so very easy access to trailheads and Logan Pass and not far from St. Mary's going the... More

Cabins are getting old but was clean and fun to stay in, not a lot to do around there across the street from lake. The Koa in St. Mary has nice laundry if you need to do some laundry , also St.Mary lodge in St.Mary has nice restaurant.

Our room was very clean had a great view. There were comfortable chairs located on the front porch. A big surprise was how comfortable the beds were, no problems sleeping. Although some of that may be due to the 20 or so miles we hiked while staying there. It's a great base, since some of the really nice hikes are... More

We stayed two nights, one before an excursion to Granite Park Chalet and one afterward. This is not the level of accommodation ( or as expensive) as the lodges in the park however, if we found this a great place to stay for forays around St. Mary's Lake. The first stay was in a cabin duplex, known as a motor... More

Stayed here as a last minute plan when we couldn't find anything else on the west side of the park. I'll say this, it's a really basic motel, long overdue an upgrade and the price they demand seems steep. But, the tradeoff is you are right in the park, they have a pretty good restaurant (no bar) and the rooms... More
