This facility is in an excellent location. Rooms are very basic and have no TV or phone. The only reason I did not give this 4 stars is because of the housekeeping staff. Our room was not clean. One evening, I mentioned this to the front desk staff. Things didn't improve much. The hotel is close to many of the... More

We booked our early July reservation late (in February) so the only choice was a double+twin room with a non-guaranteed rollaway. The location is fabulous (and you shouldn't miss the ranger-led programs for children in the nearby campground). The only big minus for us was that the rollaway bed was pretty much the worst (creaky, uncomfortable, ancient) rollaway bed our... More

We were just at Rising Sun Motor Inn for the night of July 4 2014. We stayed in a duplex cabin with my parents. They were on one side and we were on the other side. There was what looked like a big circle stain on the carpet which at 11 pm we found out was a big wet spot... More

We were part of a eight person family group who spent four nights at the end of June 2014 at Rising Sun. We have no complaints with the location- it might be the most beautiful place in the USA, or with the accommodations- they are cool and funky little tourist cabins out of the 1940s... But the new management -Xantera-which... More

We chose this place for the location. We knew it was a simple place, but we loved it. Very nice room and the lodge/dining was excellent, the staff was great and a gift shop too. If your choosing between this and St. Mary's - we stayed in St. Mary's last year and this place is MUCH better.

These cabins are described as modest, and modest they are. The rooms are small but adequate. We chose these out of necessity, but were pleased. The cabin was comfortable, if a bit crowded, and the bathroom is extremely small. However, the cabins were clean and convenient for the east side of the park. Besides, who stays in the room when... Beautiful scenery, basic but good accommodation. We stayed in a cottage which was quiet clean, basic (no luxury) but a good bed and the shower was ok. The lactation is very good, right in the eastern part of Glacier NP. It's all about location.

Stayed here in July and was happy with the stay. It's definitely not as fancy as Lake McDonald Lodge or Many Glacier, but it's still good. The front desk staff was also not as customer service-oriented; they seemed to be more interested in flirting with the park ranger than helping us with check in, but they got the job done,... More

Had one side of a duplex cabin with 2 beds. Basic describes it. If you don't want to rough it a little, don't stay here! Rough is a tent with an outhouse and no showers. This is a room with a shower, toilet and sink. Breakfast at the main building was nice. We were there at the end of the... More

We spent 3 nights here in late August. The location is incredible with its access inside the park. The check-in process was seamless and the staff was very professional. Our cabin was located on the back side of the property. We had about a 6' front entrance that we shared with the cabin that was attached to ours. The inside... More
