Stayed one night here in a duplex cabin. Room was plain and there was no place to sit outside, which was OK since our cabin was amid all the others and had no view. The office, souvenir shop and restaurant were nearby and these were OK, but again, nothing special. If you're wearing yourself out in the park and just... more

Paid 118 dollars a night and well worth it. The cabin was basic but had a view of a huge rugged mountain. Bear cub right outside the door. "The Crown of the Continent", where water runs off a mountain island to the hudson bay, the pacific and the gulf of mexico is just a half mile away along with the... more

It is a fairly basic and clean cabin at a good location. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom worked fine. We got a good size room with a desk and chair. It is at a great location on the east side of the park right next to St. Mary's lake and close to quite a few good hiking trails.... more

When I worked reservations for Glacier National Park in the '70's, I had never seen the inside of the Rising Sun cabins. Had I known then how great they are, I would have "sold" them more enthusiastically. Ours was a great cabin - clean, roomy enough, good hot shower, comfortable beds, and parking right outside our door. And ... we... more

My 21yo son and I were in one of the "store motel rooms" in the same building as the General Store. A great rate for an "inside the park" accommodation. The only issue with the room was that ours looked out onto the General Store's front porch, right next to the ice machine and public tables ... so not so... more

This is an ideal spot to use as a base for covering the east side of Glacier National Park. The cabins are nostalgic and comfortable, with the only downside being that they are small. (Similar to the cabins at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone or Custer State Park in South Dakota.) They're clean and in a great location. We photographed... more

We knew what we were getting when we booked this place. It would be simple, no frills, and just enough. The room we had was big, with two double beds. Large dresser, place to hang clothes, luggage rack. One thing we missed was a desk area for writing some post cards and putting a few things. The bathroom was a... more

Just like the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, you get very little and pay very much for this place. You get a bed (or two), a shower, a toilet, a heater, and a roof over your head. This place has a nice sitting area by the camp store where you can sit and drink beers, searching the mountainsides for goats and bears.... more

I have to admit that these were my favorite cabins in the cabins we stayed in… although the cabins at swiftcurrent are larger, our did not have a bathroom. The cabins at Rising Sun have bathrooms. The rooms are large and it looked like they received new carpeting in the last 3 years or so. The location is very convenient. more

This was the best place we stayed on our 2 week tour of Montana. Glacier National Park is the best and Rising Sun Motor Inn was terrific. My husband and I stayed in the room to the right with a double bed and our teenage sons had the room next door, with two twin beds. each room had a desk... more
