We visited Glacier in the 2nd half of September for some backcountry camping and opted to stay at TR in between. We stayed 3 nights in 3 different cabins since we were in and out. I can attest to the consistent quality of the cabins, very clean, spacious, comfy beds, warm and cozy with the gas fireplace. Diane was super... More

We stayed here for three nights while exploring Glacier. I didn't want to stay in one of the park lodges because they're too touristy and overpriced. We were coming from LA so we wanted the full Montana experience so staying in a cabin was a must. I'm a clean freak and the tiniest noise bothers me. With that said, after... More

The cabin at Traveler's Rest Lodge was such a welcome reprieve after spending a month working in the area and a perfect launching-point for our trip through Glacier. East Glacier is an adorable town at the entrance of the park and after researching the many places to stay, TRL was clearly the best quality and value. Our cabin had so... More

We had the large cabin at the rear for two nights while we were touring GNP. The cabin was spacious, had two nice queen beds, a kitchenette with microwave and fridge, and a dining table. I enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and enjoying the beautiful Montana countryside. It is very peaceful here – you may hear an occasional train... More

Diane and Bob are great hosts!! We stayed for one night in the Bunk House cabin. Bob constructed the room from reclaimed lumber--very unique!! Small but contained a loft for added sleeping. The kitchen is equipped with needed utensils and large coffee pot! Beautiful location--We would stay again! Susan and James from Texas

Our stay was for one night and we planned to go hiking very early the next morning on an all day hike. The cabins are well-lit from the road and easy to locate, even at 10pm at night and after a five hour drive. Diane had provided us with accurate directions. On driving into the site, we could clearly see... More

We traveled for 9 days/8 nights thru'out CO, WY, ID & MT, & stayed in a different hotel or inn each night. Some had "no pet" policies, meaning that pets weren't allowed in the rooms; & we respected that & let our 2 dogs sleep in the car. But nobody complained when we simply WALKED them near those hotels/inns --... More

The Owner of the Lodge relates it this way: When we take a reservation, we are very careful to specify No Smoking and No Pets. We always write this in the margin, as a reminder that we specifically informed the guest. When these guests arrived, we checked them in as usual (they did not mention any pets at this time).... We really loved the setting and the location was ideal for traveling to 2 Medicine Lake and the eastern entrance to Glacier National Park. Diane was extremely friendly and helpful. The cabin was charming and equipped with the essentials so it was nice to be able to relax and not have to go out to eat every night.

Diane (one of the owners) was very nice and our cabin was charming--it more than we expected. Things took a turn for the worse when I was confronted by a rude man who told me I could not walk my dogs on "his" gravel driveway. We understand and respect that hotels have dog policies. It was never conveyed to me... More

We booked for 1 night, and liked our cabin (#5) so much that we stayed another. Can't really add to all the wonderful previous comments - definitely lived up to our expectations. Was cozy, comfortable and immaculate. Had dinner at the nearby Glacier Park Lodge - once in the dining room and once in the bar/lounge, and enjoyed some nice... More
