We went to Summit Mountain Lodge July 24-26, 2015, with another couple. We stayed in the Grinnell and our friends stayed next door in the Huckleberry. The rooms are modest but comfortable. We were given coffee, soap, shampoo and body lotion, as well as towels. There is no maid service. After the second night we were given a fresh set... More

My friend and I stayed at the Lone Walker cabin just for a night coz they were already fully-booked for the weekend. We had such a great time, the cabin was very clean and we even get to prepare our food for our camping night the following day. Ted and Mara were very hospitable and their crew were also nice... We stayed for three nights in the Grinnell cabin. It was a wonderful experience. I was a bit worried about the train noise, as I had read previous reviews, but with the fan going in the cabin, you can't hear it at all. It was not a problem during the stay. The cabin was great. I did not find the... More

As a family we were fortunate to stay in the log cabins, which were well equipped and clean, set in natural surroundings. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant, the salmon I chose was locally sourced and tasted delicious. The whole experience was enhanced by the warm welcome from the owners and staff, great customer experience.

Stayed here for 5 wonderful nights this summer. A family of 4 stayed in the Huckleberry cabin. The cabin was very clean and plenty large for our family including 2 teenagers. The 3 best reasons for staying here: 1) Away from summer crowds at Glacier National Park while still close to the Two Medicine entrance and easy access to the... More

I should better place this on the restaurant scrim, but I am doing this here on the lodging because the restaurant section is already totally full of great reviews that you you might not otherwise see. Stayed in nearby East Glacier, had an unfathomably great dinner here tonight. I cannot express how wonderful the food prep, the service, the ambiance... More

My wife and I stayed at Summit Mountain Lodge for our fifth anniversary. What a wonderful experience!!! This is the best view outside of Glacier NP, with generally cooler temps thanks to being at the top of the pass. Great hiking nearby, and East Glacier is just a few miles away for groceries and restaurants. We ate at the steakhouse... More

It is all subjective what a traveller looks for in hotels. On my trip to East Glacier park, I wanted a hotel that felt like I was staying in nature - somewhere quiet with trees and comfortable decor, low to zero noise from neighbors, and a restaurant nearby with good food. This is the only hotel that fits that bill... More

To start, the views are amazing. We stayed in the Grinnell which is recently remodeled. The owners are new and have been taking time to redo everything on the site. It is all well done. Our biggest issue was the firmness of the beds. They are very firm. We used extra blankets and pillows to cushion and that helped. It... More

We wanted to explore Glacier NP for the weekend, and Summit Mountain Lodge was a great place to have as a base. It is a bit out of the way and thus lacks the crowds of East- and West Glacier. The cabin had a great view, it was clean and comfortable. The owners and staff were very friendly. The food... More
