Given the price, this is a great option. Had a nice, cozy private room next to the women's bathroom - they're not joking about the paper-thin walls so, as they suggest, bring ear plugs or stay in a room not next to the bathroom. People were friendly. Great location for our tour into the Park.

I enjoyed my 10 day stay at this rustic hostel in Glacier NP overall but it has drawbacks. When the temps go from a nice warm summer to rainy, chilly & damp, the hostel also becomes rather chilly! The woman's dorm was freezing my last couple nights :( and the showers just aren't hot enough to compensate for the chilled... More

I came to Brownies off the Amtrak and was hoping to find hiking partners and someone with a car. Found both within a half an hour. This was my favorite hostel on my vacation. Just backpackers talking about about hiking. Met some great people there. Great base for Glacier hikers.

A treat to find a nice hostel in the US! Just outside the beautiful glacier national park you will be welcome to a comfortable and cheap stay if you are in the area and are not camping. Downstairs theere is a great cafe and desserts.

I stayed for three nights in the women's dorm room. The kitchen is well-equiped and the staff does a great job of keeping everything clean (hard to do in an older building). It's a bike-friendly place and I appreciated being able to work on my bike out back.

I stayed at Brownie from 8/27-8/30 and truly enjoyed my stay and the people i met more so. The place was easy to find along Hwy 49 with ample parking. The fact that a bakery/deli is right downstairs made it super convenient to pickup a snack before i hit the road or take a easy stroll downstairs to get an... More

This place does have character! We stayed in the "Quad Room" which had a bunkbed with double on the bottom, single on top, and another single bed. The weather was exceptionally hot and our hosts made sure the fans were on ahead of our arrival so it was as cool as possible, and it definitely cooled off nicely in the... More

Some people may complain about the creaking wood floors and a cramped feeling. I found it enjoyable and added to the rustic experience. I enjoyed talking to the backpackers and travellers upstairs in the lounge area. There also had a community kitchen. The showers were warm but I would've liked a way to create a bit more privacy. The friendly... More

We stopped here in a fluke on our way to Glacier National Park. There were four of us and I am the only one with a food allergy (intolerant to Gluten). When I asked about gluten free bread, I was informed that there wasn't any. Dylan, however, offered to make me a sandwich if I had my own bread. I... More

I stayed here only for one night. I was going to stay longer. It's convenient for Glacier National Park and affordable. But I found this place quite depressing and didn't want to stay anymore nights. The atmosphere is horrible. It's really dim lit with hardly any natural light. The wood cabin is cold and you can hear every movement. There... More
