I was on my first visit to Glacier National Park, and wanted to camp in the popular Many Glacier campground. I knew you have to arrive pretty early in the day to assure getting a spot there, so I planned to stay at Brownies, about 60 miles away, the night before. They weren't busy the early-September night I was there,... More

I have stayed abroad, and Hi-Brownies was perfect for a Hostel expirence. The bathrooms were clean, I stayed in the private room and it was worth the extra money. I spent 3 days hiking and I just needed a place to sleep in-between hikes, and this was perfect. It's a nice quick walk from the East Glaicer train station too.... More

While backpacking Glacier on the east side, my group needed a place to spend the night when our train arrived. Brownies is a short walk from the train station, so we stopped to see if they had the room. They were very helpful accommodating us, and I think it was $7 a night per person. There were about 15 of... More

Of the five regional hostels I've stayed in this is one of my favorites. It's cozy, clean and relaxed and fits perfectly with the rustic Glacier National Park vibe. East Glacier Park is unpretentious, not ruined by commercialism and the locally owned businesses provide a much more authentic travel experience. East Glacier Park is actually in the Blackfoot nation as... More

We stayed 2 nights at Hi Brownies. The staff was very nice, the common areas where cozy and everything was clean. The only problem is that the noise and thermal isolations were inexistant: we heard everything from the other rooms and the room was always very cold (although it was exceptionnaly snowing outside so maybe in real summer it s... Stayed here for my second time. First time was four years ago. Very accommodating to their customer needs. Spent the evening chatting with globe trekkers from Spain, Lithuania, and Australia. If you want a five star hotel, then book one. If you want a great experience, then check out Brownies.

Stayed in a double room. While building is wooden and all rooms are off one corridor, so when somebody walks past the whole hostel can hear it. Room tiny, no space apart from the one double bed. Walls are 1 sheet of very thin wood so even whispers can be heard. Not enough bathrooms, and only 1 toilet in the... More

This was our first time at Brownies and we will go back if in the area again. It's is clean and comfortable hostel with a great location in East glacier national park. About 12 miles from the park entrance. Close to some very good restaurants and lots of friendly people. My husband and I had a private room. Thanks brownies!

Excellent place. Rates are cheap. You can surely meet exciting young people over here. Apart from that, the bakery was delicious. They are very helpful with last minute arrangements. Surely, a nice place and I would like to go stay there next time also.

I stayed here several nights in a private room with my girlfriend. The kitchen and common area made it a great experience -- we made friends, meals and had a great time. The hostel staff was friendly and hostel had a nice, friendly atmosphere.
