If you are looking for a modern Holiday Inn this isn't it. Sears Motel is a 1950's bungalow type of facility where most of the rooms are in free standing duplexes. The rooms are modest sized, with minimal amenities. No A/C, small bathrooms with smaller showers. But they do have: parking at your door, front porches, TV, and surprising good... More

No Coffee Maker check, No Morning Paper Check, No Phone check, and No Wake Up Call check. The only thing we received was a clean room, good service, and for a very reasonable price. If you expect a Holiday Inn better book at one.

We have stayed at all the places in and around the Park, now that we stayed at Sears. This is in need of major repair, painting, better furnishings. Worn out, outdated, even wobbly. The bathroom was dirty including hair in the shower. No reading lights. Yard outside is a mess. Screen in door torn. We aren't fussy as we just... More

Thank you for your review. The only old furnishing in our rooms are the desks, everything else has been replaced down to the carpet you were standing on that is only 8 weeks old. The wood in the yard is there during the total renovation of #9. It is difficult to measure and saw materials inside a room. Any holes... More

First, a disclaimer - this review is from a stay in 2008, part of a memorable 45th wedding anniversary trip that featured Amtrak's Empire Builder, Glacier N.P., Portland, and Vancouver Island. Sears Motel was the most memorable stay. But that's because we collect not only B&Bs but also old cabin motels. They all lean, they all need updating, they all... More

Thank you for your kind review. We try to treat people how we would like to be treated when we are travelling, and we are a family, not a corporation, owned by two women, one a disabled veteran. Contrary to some others opinions, we HAVE been updating over the past few seasons. All carpets were replaced this July, we have... More

We were pulling our pop up but needed a stop over point before entering Glacier NP. It is a nice little town and had everything we needed. The desk clerk/owner was very friendly and helpful in recommending a place to eat as well as which hike we could take in the amount of time we had before nightfall. The hotel... More

I spent two nights here in July and was delighted. I had several helpful emails from Judy, the owner before the visit, and she continued to be helpful after my arrival. Judy told me that the office closes at 9, but if I had problems during the night, she would respond if I rang the bell at any hour. The... More

Going to Glacier National Park during peak season means beggars can't be choosers, but among the options I could choose from I wish I'd kept on begging. From the outside, Sears Motel looks like a charming motel and the individual cottages seem like a pleasant feature further adding to the time-warped sense East Glacier provides. Unfortunately after opening the door... More

We stayed 3 nights, making this place our home base, and were satisfied...though with the curtains worn thin, the campground directly outside the bathroom window, and walls as thin as cardboard, romantic engagements were sadly avoided....(so maybe not completely satisfied.) Still, a much enjoyed base at the end of a long days hike. Good food close by, too (not the... More

Judy, the owner operates the local Dollar car rental company. We did not stay at the motel but the service and cooperation as far as the car rental business was first rate. It's a little hard to find on the internet but woorth the hunt.

First of all, the positives, the bathroom and the beds were clean. Walls and doors clean. I read all the reviews that the duplexes are simple and I was prepared for that. However, I wasn’t prepared for the fabric in the curtains being so worn out that you can see through those spots, the carpet is extremely worn, and in... More
