The Mountain Pine is located with a five-minute walking distance to East Glacier Park and the Amtrak station, the general store/hostel and a two restaurants/cafes. The spacious room with separate vanity/bath, large bed and eating area (table and two chairs) was clean. The Mountain Pine was just as you might envision a motel from the "glory days", rustic and welcoming.... More

Our stay at the Mountain Pine Motel certainly stands out among the many nights we spent on the road from Alaska to Ohio. It capped off a great day of driving from Coeur d'Alene, through Glacier NP and to the doorstep of Mountain Pine. Sure the fixtures had the look and feel of a roadside lodge of 50 to 60... More

We enjoyed a fall visit to the East Side of Glacier National Park this past September. We were a little tentative about booking two nights here but were glad we did. The motel was charming, spacious and clean but dated. The rooms had comfortable beds and were very quiet even thought the motel was full. The price was very, very... More

It was a 60's-type roadside motel. But, it was quiet and clean. The elderly lady who checked us in was a real peach! Close to east entrance of Glacier, but not much in the way of restaurant choices after 8:00 p.m. More

First of all I should say that due to Amtrak's late arrival we were not really expecting much of a welcome. The train was running 4-6 hours late along the journey and we arrived feeling more than a little tired. Fortunately it felt like the whole of East Glacier Park area was resigned to the late train (it had been... More

Ok so I admit I was very nervous about spending the night. My friend and I decided at the last minute to visit Glacier and because of the surrounding hotels closing this was our only option. Even though I read all the many positive reviews I was still uncertain of what to expect. The owner of the motel (Terry?) was... More

When we drove up my wife frowned a little because it was a old hotel. I had read the reviews before booking. After entering the room she was very impressed as to how clean the room was. The bed was very comfortable. and she loved the shower. I didn't meet Dorris But Terry was very down home and pointed me... More

Good family run single story motel with helpful staff but no cooking or coffee making facilities. Store, coffee shop, restaurants and laundromat across road. Had two comfortable rooms - beds OK in the first, better in the second. Satellite linked wifi but speed poor in evening. Motel near to stunning original log built Glacier Park Lodge. Well worth a visit... More

Spent the night after spending the day in Glacier Park so were dog tired and slept well. Book ahead as fills up but due to demand and the staff is less than congenial. All business and don't interrupt there supper! Rooms were adequate. Obviously a result of more business than rooms so they don't have to work at it. Would... More
