We're always looking for nice, family run budget hotels and this is a great example. Rooms are dated, but clean and tidy and comfortable. The grounds are nicely maintained and as other reviewers have pointed out, the owners are a wealth of information about Glacier. Woodsy setting and easy to walk to the stores and cafes or down to the... More

Clean rooms, very quiet and peaceful. The owners and employees were knowledgeable and friendly. The motel had good a wifi conection (rare it seems there) and rooms were spacious and well located neat Glacier National Park and restaurants. It was a pleasant stay.

We picked Mountain Pine because of the Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel is older, but very clean, has an updated bathroom. I think "homey" is a good description. Now the reason for the 5 star rating. The kindness of the owners. They gave us information about trail closings due to the Glacier park fires, recommended restaurants for breakfast and dinner.... More

The owners were friendly and let us out of the 2nd night of our reservation. If it weren't for that, I would rate it a terrible. The rooms are clean, but have not been updated in at least 60 years. There are no modern conveniences other than a toilet and shower. There is no AC, paper thin walls, no shampoo,... More

You can tell the family running this place does so with much love and care. The rooms and the grounds are spotless. All the details have been attended to. Now this is not luxury; it is a mom and pop hotel. But in this area, and I scouted all the ones in East Glacier, this is far and away the... More

Staying at Mountain Pine Motel is an absolute delight. The Sherburnes who have owned this motel for 68 years take pride in assuring that each guest has what he/she needs. The room in which we stayed is extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable. The motel is maintained with loving care.

We booked this based on reviews from other trip advisor guests and was very pleasantly surprised. A lovely family owned motel very clean and nice grounds. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating with restaurant suggestions, do not miss the Whistlestop Cafe! Was concerned initially when saw no air conditioner, but none was needed nights had gentle breeze.

We stayed at the Mountain Pine as our base to hikes, etc to Glacier National Park and Waterton, Canada. We LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Throwback and Meticulous! No A/C and not needed as we were gone all day and it cooled off perfectly at night for sleeping. Terry Sherburne, the proprietor, is helpful on anything and everything (Lake Sherburne inside... Clean, friendly, and reasonable. I only give 5s if a place goes out of their way for me or they are next to staying in heaven. I was on a motorcycle on my way to Dallas from Yellowknife, NT with plans to camp. I was looking for the KOA in the area when I saw this motel. I knew I... More

I booked the Mountain Pine Motel because of the positive reviews here. Even though most of my itinerary while visiting Glacier National Park started on the west side of the park, I was willing to drive the 50 or so miles from the motel to the west entrance because of the pricing at the Mountain Pine Motel. Initially, when I... More
