First of all, for some people customer service is just as important (if not more important) than amenities. I am one of those people. The people who work at Wagon Wheel are all very kind a friendly. Yes the hotel is by the train tracks but so are both of the other hotels in Drummond, actually the entire town is... More

After fueling up, a local directed me to the wagon wheel, which was across the parking area. I rode up, entered, and sat myself. Mostly locals, a good thing, with a wirey gent in jeans, boots, plaid shirt, and old school cowboy hat was talking the ear off some other patron at the counter. I wisely chose a booth. Coffee... For the price I shouldn't complain too much. I was actually intrigued by other comments about this motel and was impressed when I called to make the reservation. The staff is super friendly, chatty, and the restaurant was a fun place to eat. However, the room is small and the A/C unit was not so good. There was a heater... More

It is a 1950's motel with small boxy rooms with a tiny window and a small tin shower. Motel is between the freeway and the railway. Yes it is cheap but as they say you get what you pay for. It is not quaint or charming but cheap! Hear restaurant has a good breakfast but power went off when we... More

This is only one hour west of Helena. It is half the price of Helena motels. It has a good old fashioned cooking restaurant with the BEST homemade pies! Our double room had a fold out full sized bed included. CUTEST little place I've ever seen.

Old time hospitality here folks. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable. Honest and friendly staff plus the homemade items make time in cafe enjoyable. The price can't be beat for a nights rest or a meal!

We left Missoula early, headed to Yellowstone; stopped in Drummond at the Wagon Wheel cafe for breakfast. So glad we did! Friendly service, good prices, tasty and filling food. The half order biscuits 'n gravy breakfast was enough for two - order the "full" at your own risk. Bacon was crispy and hash browns were cooked to perfection. It's a... More

Horrible experience at Drummond Motel so we headed down the road. Annette and all the gals at Wagon Wheel have been super friendly! I wish there was a mini fridge and microwave in our room but no big deal. The rooms are clean large and comfortable. Each meal at the cafe has been really pleasant...gotta have the chicken fried steak... More

Great spot to stop while traveling for great night of sleep or just a great meal. Not new but very well maintained, quiet, friendly, and did I mention the great food! We travel a lot and I would pick this over a crowded holiday inn anytime:-).

So, we began a 5600 mile road trip. Our first stop was in Drummond. I called and talked to the owner and explained we would be late. She put the key under the mat. I knew this would be good. We arrived at 1:30 am and yes, there was a key. Our room was 1950 era but clean to a... More
