My husband and I were traveling through Darby, Montana looking for an easy place to stay. We found Rye Creek Lodge to be a combination of secluded rustic cabin and comfortable luxury accommodation. We had a cabin; large living room/kitchen, fireplace, bedroom, bath and laundry. - tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We cooked on the grill - outside our cabin... More

Mike and family make this place so easy to stay at. Real wood fire places with lots of wood, pretty private log cabins, (dogs allowed in two), a stream, quiet. We have gone back several time, sometimes just to relax and detune in front of a raging fire. Then following Mike's lead on places to see, eat, hike and so... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Rye Creek. The rooms were well furnished including washer and dryer, full kitchen, Wi-Fi, fireplace, etc.... The best part was stepping out the front door and seeing the Sapphire Mountain Range of Montana and walk down the gravel path and see the magnificent Bitterroot Mountains and Trappers Peak! At night we sat on the... More

A short drive from US 93 leads you to this haven of the American West. We stayed here for 2 nights on our Montana vacation and were certainly impressed. Pristine cabins, magnificent wildlife and decent restaurants a short drive away make this an ideal spot to enjoy the magnificent Bitterroot valley. Mike was a friendly and helpful host. Private setting... More

We loved everything about our two days at the Rye Creek Lodge cabin. We had the cabin right on a small pond - sadly, no fish as expected, but we sure had fun casting over and over again. Hiking was within 50 feet of our front door. A kayak putin was only a mile away on highway 93 - a... More

This place was worth every penny. Not the typical cabin stay- the attention to detail was incredible, my fiance and I were able to unwind and enjoy true seclusion AND luxury in this beautiful area at Rye Creek Lodge. I call it rustic luxury because we although we felt to be in the wild, had our own 100% private hot... More

We had an absolutely fabulous time in the cabin at Rye Creek, great access to snowmobiling areas, fireplace, two bedrooms with queen beds, some problems with the hot tub staying warm but it was available. Will not be going back because they DOUBLED the prices!! $225 per might PER COUPLE! Yikes! So much for a convienent romantic couples weekend.

We stayed at the Rye Creek Lodge in the Trapper/Oxbow cabin for just one night. We were right on the creek and had a great view of the mountains. The cabin was beautiful and very clean and the kids loved playing in the creek behind the house. We also had our very own hotub. This is a lovely spot and... More

The beautifully appointed log cabin accomidations were almost as perfect as the sunrises and sunsets that left us breathless. Rye Creek lodge is perfectly located to enjoy everything Montana has to offer and the hosts couldn't have been more accomidating, including letting us borrow their sweet dog, Courser! We hope to return frequently to this lodge and continue what we... More

I have traveled across the US on business now for almost 20 years, and have spent probably close to a thousand hotel nights away from home, staying in mostly mid to upper scale hotels. Never have I experienced the hospitality nor the accommodations that you're offering. When we pulled up to our cabin, and saw the fishing rod and tackle... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amid millions of acres of pristine wilderness, this first class Montana ranch offers a spectacular vacation hideaway. Activities include trail riding, wilderness hiking, world class fly fishing, fly casting lessons, white water rafting, and ATV rides. Fly fishing is rewarding on the Bitterroot, Selway, Salmon and Big Hole Rivers or the many nearby alpine lakes. For a slower pace, relax on your cabin's front porch and view wildlife or visit the hot springs. Our luxury hand-hewn log cabins are nestled in a beautiful natural setting and offer excellent privacy. Cabins are generously distanced from each other by 100 yards or more. Each luxury log cabin has a river rock fireplace, modern kitchen, laundry facilities, and a private outdoor hot tub. Rye Creek Lodge is located at the southern end of the scenic Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. Rye Creek meanders through 120 acres, providing over a mile of prime habitat for moose, elk and deer. Several ponds create an oasis in the "high country" of Montana. Granite outcroppings, large ponderosa and numerous aspen provide close-up views while Trapper Peak looms overhead. The Bitterroot Valley on the western Montana/Idaho border is a place of serenity, natural beauty and wonder in all four seasons. In spring, the meadows come to life with wildflowers and the air is fresh with new beginnings. In summer, the sun-filled days are perfect for fly fishing, horseback riding, scenic float trips, hiking and cycling. The Bitterroot Mountains in the fall are a dazzling sight with bright blue skies and quaking aspen shimmering in the sun ... Followed by crisp, cool evenings. Our mild winters are exhilarating with the beautiful quiet of fresh powder mornings, the breathtaking view of the Bitterroot Range panoramas and the thrill of Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing through unspoiled snow-covered wilderness.
