The room was cold heater worked for awhile but room sometime during the night went out, ended up sleeping with a beanie on just to stay warm.Shower had mold on the tile dirty carpet and chairs, the worst part was seeing the... Hi, I regret you had such a bad stay. I apologize for the heater issue. If you had just let us know, the problem was a 3 minute fix. When it is a bit windy out, sometimes we have to relight the pilots. As we did not have to do it in any other rooms that day, we did not... More

We stayed here for 2 days while we played in Lamar Valley and on the Bear Tooth Pass. We stayed in cabin #2. The cabin was very comfortable and very clean. We didn't watch TV because we were so tired from playing all day. We ate at the Soda Butte diner in town, which was very good. We also ate... More

We arrived at the High Country after spending the previous night at a cabin at Lake Lodge in Yellowstone. That cabin was such a disappointment - extremely tiny, no coffee maker, no TV ( I knew there would be no tv). So it was heavenly to check into our room at High Country! It was the size of a small... We stayed at the High Country Motel for one night as we left Yellowstone on our way to Cody WY. It was clean and simple. Brandon who owns it was extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended both a place for dinner, The Beartooth Cafe where we had a great meal and the Bearclaw Bakery for breakfast which was equally excellent.... More

We stay here every time we stay in Cooke, and the people who run the hotel are so friendly, helpful, and sociable. Beds are comfy. They seriously have the cleanest hot tub ever. And the best part is I can bring my dog!

This was our 2nd stay at High Country and we will stay again. We were allowed to check in early so that we could get situated and head into the Park. Only negative was our older TV had barely any sound, which we didn't discover until late in the evening and which we forgot to report.

We stayed in Cabin #4. The cabin was rustic and comfortable, with a kitchen. The bed was VERY comfortable and the cabin was very clean! The TV was an older CRT model but the picture was very good. Wifi was available, however we were not able to get a good connection. Cooke City is a great town and The High... More

Recently renovated, great views and a perfect place to stay to rest up before you head across the Beartooth Pass or get ready to enjoy Yellowstone. Cooke City is a great town and The High Country Motel has charm and wonderful owners who love what they do. It shows. We spent the night in cabin 1, slept soundly and were... More

We wanted to stop close to Yellowstone and they had an available room at a good price, so we booked ahead. It was a good move. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. The room was somewhat rustic but comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the bath towels were some of the plushest we found on our trip. The TV... More

We arrived late with no reservation. We were tired from our travel. Brandon, the owner quickly accommodated us with a very nice room including a fireplace with firewood. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom included very nice soap and plenty of towels. The room also had a full kitchen which served our needs very well. Simply put, we can't... More
