Stayed in apartment with microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed with good quality clean linen. Carpet clean as was bath and working heater. Surprised at the number of poor reviews as my wife and I are seasoned travellers and considered this motel was fine. No wifi or cell connection but is this really necessary !! Friendly staff who readily provided hair... More

We stayed one night. There were gnats around, which the hotel keepers cannot help, but some were in the room. There were quilts and matching pillow covers that were rustic and probably nice when they were first put out, but they were dirty enough that neither my wife or I wanted to come into close contact with them. The motel... More

We have stayed at The Alpine in Apt. 1A for 17 of the last 20 years - but unless there are some big changes, we will never stay there again. In the past, we have brought our family and recommended the Alpine to our friends. It was always basic but clean. We missed 2013 and 2014 and we can't believe... More

This place offers everything you need to stay for a night or two even if you are with friends and family.I loved the rustic look the rooms have. The only issue with the city is poor network else it's such a beautiful place that you would wish to stay there longer. The view from the hotel was even spectacular.Didnt have any issue... The Alpine, while not elegant, is very clean, functional, and comfortable. It seems to be right out of the 50's. However, if you can't find lodging in Yellowstone, it's an excellent alternative. People get up early, so you'll hear cars leaving, but get up early yourselves to see animals in the park and you won't mind.

Stayed here as part of a group tour of Yellowstone. Rooms are clean, bed was comfortable. Perhaps best to stay on 2nd floor, as we could hear every footfall from above (couldn't hear talking, though). This is a pretty basic place, but if all you want is a place to take a bath/shower and to sleep, it's fine.

Large, clean rooms and friendly staff can't overcome loud, early-rising neighbors and worn out, threadbare bedding. I'll try some other option in the future, especially at a $115/night rate. The room had plenty of towels, the carpet was in great shape and the shower was clean. Nice to have a microwave and mini-fridge too. Front porch and solid wooden room... More

We stayed at the Alpine Motel in the course of a Natural Habitat Adventures winter tour of Yellowstone, and we take the work of our guides that it is the best alternative in Cooke City. It was warm and clean and comfortable. However, I would suggest that you avoid the rooms that are farthest from the lobby area, as the... More

We enjoyed staying in Cooke City in winter, it was so quiet and very pretty with all the snow and is a good base for the northern part of Yellowstone. Our room was spacious, very warm and welcoming, the heater was easy to adjust, a bath/shower, basin in the bedroom, couldn't get wifi in the room but it was available... More

We had 4 guys on a sled trip. Stayed in the 'suite' with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Was plenty of room for sure. Would like it if they had an option of having at least one bedroom where there is a set of bunk beds and a single or double, rather than two queens. I slept in the Living... More
