Great big log house. Good food. Friendly people. Horses, fishing. We go back every few years to see if it's still fun.( it is!) a tweet can't be over 160 characters and you want me to be at least 200. Seriously, if you want fancy, you are in the wrong state. But clean, comfortable rooms are all you need here.

A lovely comfortable room with everything that we could possibly need. Including shoe driers! Liz & Vic our hosts were very welcoming, and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfasts were slightly unusual, but well cooked and filling. The packed lunch supplied on our horse riding/fishing day was excellent, & Luke our guide was brilliant. We would... More

We selected Skyline because we wanted a mountain retreat close to the Park and at the end of the scenic Beartooth Highway. It was just what we wanted. Dinner is right down the road in Cooke City and we saw a black bear and some deer on the way. Breakfast was B & B quality, and a grizzly in the... More

Skyline Ranch is a large rustic mountain log cabin (built with re-claimed lumber from a forest fire) with a welcoming, homey bed and breakfast vibe. It’s located close to Yellowstone and the Beartooth Mountain Highway, just outside Cooke City (which is actually a very small town- don’t expect to buy provisions there). Skyline guests can stay one night (as we... More

We choose Skyline because of proximity to Yellowstone areas that we love and never having stayed in the Cooke City area before. It was all we could have asked for it to be. Breakfast Amazing! Wonderful expereince with exceptional hostess. Spotless rooms with all the amenities of home. Moose steps away from our driveway. Easy access to the Beartooth's and... More

We chose Skyline for our Yellowstone trip because of the reviews on Trip advisor. I was truly glad we did. The owners are so kind and welcoming, helping us to feel at home as soon as we arrived. We were on the third floor, and had time to enjoy sitting on the porch on that level to relax and revive.... More

My husband and I stayed at at skyline Guest Ranch on our start for our Yellowstone adventure. Liz was a wonderful hostess and gave us excellent advice on places to eat in Cook City and where to look for wild life as we entered the park. Fantastic stay.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Skyline Guest Ranch, a short drive east of Cooke City Montana. The 3 story log cabin is spotless and comfortable, the bedrooms and bathrooms roomy. Our room had a high ceiling with large log beams. We had planned on a trail ride, but altitude sickness ended that idea. It was enjoyable talking with... More

We stayed here 2 nights as part of our week in Yellowstone,. It was much nicer lodging and a much better value than the park options. It was easy to drive to Lamar at dawn and look for wildlife and then come back to the lodge for a yummy 8 o'clock breakfast. The trail ride they offer was awesome and... More

We had a fabulous time at the SGR. The food was excellent, the lodge was comfortable, the horses were great (I rode Jimmy and Mabel), the fishing was outstanding, and the guides were friendly and knowledgable. It is a warm family experience staying at SGR, and the scenery was spectacular. Victor, Luke, kids and family, thanks for a memorable and... More
