Making reservations online from several states away can sometimes leave you with a bad experience. . . not this time! Smoky Bear Ranch was one of the most beautiful and spotlessly clean places we've ever stayed! Nancy and Scott cook the most amazing breakfasts with homemade cinnamon rolls and 4 pancake syrups including the delicious huckleberry, which we brought home... More

After a very long drive we were looking forward to a peaceful stay at the ranch. I purchased our lodging on Expedia where it said 1 child to our room (later I realized it says minimum age 12) I should have read more detail, but I just saw the 1-child to room. When we arrived and I mentioned we have... More

We ended up booking this place outside Columbia Falls and that was fairly close to Glacier National Park. It was a pleasant surprise, we stayed in one of the rooms in the main lodge. Scott and Nancy were both friendly and helpful in determining what to see in Glacier. The morning breakfast(s) were both fanastic and unique. We stayed an... More

If your looking for a very quiet place to stay just outside Glacier Park you can't beat Smokey Bear Ranch. Scott and Nancy run a fantastic B&B with a few cabins for those in search of absolute solitude. Smokey Bear Ranch is just 10 min from Columbia Falls and the Park entrance but feels like it is in the back... More

This place was an amazing find! It was secluded yet a short drive to the park as well as restaurants and grocery stores in town. My husband and I stayed in one of the small cabins for a week. Although small, it has all the amenities, which allowed us to come back and prepare the majority of our meals. The... More

We stayed here a few years ago and the horrid experience has never left me. I have never written a bad review of an accommodation before and it has taken me a while to get this out of me. I was reminded of the experience when booking another visit to the Glacier National Park area. We booked the upstairs suite... More

Stayed at the Grizzly Cabin with my family for 4 nights. For our whole Montana trip this was absolutely the best place of them all. The staff was super friendly, the cabin was AWESOME and the place in general felt like a little piece of heaven. We would love to go back some day and spend much more time.

Their "backyard" has a unique combination of ecosystems. Highly recommend a tour with Nancy and Smoky! Feels like you are in the wilderness, but with all the comforts of home. We stayed in the lodge. Comfortable bed with a beautiful quilt made by Nancy. Ask for a look at her quilting room. (She also does quilting retreats at the lodge... More

A road in the near-wilderness leads to a beautifully situated log house/cabin getaway, so quiet, and yet, waiting for the eventual appearance of a bear, mountain lion, wolf, or eagle. Helps to have Smoky, the Newfy outside standing guard! Inside a colorful homemade quilt with Smoky Bear on it graces a comfy bed in a large, clean, cozy, room. A... More

I stayed a week with family in the large four bedroom cabin. It was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the cooking tools one could want and the whole place was spotless. We used the washer and dryer, and the hosts provided the laundry soap. I especially liked that the hosts loaned us bear spray (we hiked alot in... More
