This is a great location to be near Logan pass and southern areas of the park. We stayed here two nights in small cabins. They were both on the lake with windows. So nice to step out of our front door to a paved walkway to see the lake through trees or a short walk to the historical lodge. Our... More

We recently stayed two nights at the Lake McDonald Lodge. We found the lodge and grounds fit our needs just right. We had a corner room in the lodge on the second floor. We had windows on two sides and enjoyed the cross ventilation. Our room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was of good size. We liked that several... More

We stayed here one night and wished our itinerary had planned for more. This is a well kept classic lodge of the Arts and Crafts era. Our room was small, reflecting the era in which it was built, but well maintained and appointed. The lobby is something out of a perion National Geographic magazine. Staff was very helpful - in... We rented the small cabin and it is just that, a small cabin. There were two of us and two full beds. Had there been four, it would have been a tight fit, but in reality, we didn't spend much time in the cabin except to wash and sleep. Most of the cabins have at least two families renting rooms,... The grounds, accommodations, and atmosphere of this place are great. From the lodge itself to the General Store, to the Cabins, it reminds me of what a "summer place on the lake" should look and feel like. Multiple (and really good) dining options, clean rooms, and friendly staff made this a place I will definitely return too. And as with... More

The Showers are extremely tiny. The Room was clean, adequate size and bed comfortable, but very noisy through the night. Meals in lodge dining room were good with some gluten free options provided. The surrounding views are beautiful.

I stayed at Lake Mcdonald lodge for 3 nights of May 2010. It was my first time in Glacier National park and I picked this lodge after seeing photos of it on a Ken Burns National Park documentary. I had high expectations of this place, and not only did this lodge meet them but they exceeded them. The staff was... More
