We found this place by chance and we are so happy we did. We stayed for a week and wish we could stay longer. We both are quite the beginners when it comes to riding but Mike and Mary took really good care of us and we learnt a lot. The riding was always in different places so we got... More

No pretentiousness at all. Honest, clean and relaxing. The ranch and mountains will work their way into your hearts. The family is amazing and I love that the ranch has passed through several generations. I highly recommend a stay here.

I attended a quilt retreat at the G Bar M last weekend and everything was excellent. I am a vegetarian and Maria cooked a vegetarian entrée at every meal. All of the staff we very friendly and helpful and made me feel at home. They provide an incredible experience in an awesome setting.

I stayed with Mary, Maria and Mike for just shy of two weeks this past spring and had an amazing stay. The G Bar M Ranch is situated in a beautiful valley with endless trails for riding. The ranch accommodation is top notch and the meals are spectacular. From the minute I walked in the door on arrival to the... More

My family spent one week here at the end of June. This was our first time at any ranch. We had a great time. The location is beautiful. We are all inexperienced riders. Their horses are great at adapting to us. Mike, Maria, and Mary are great hosts. The food is great. My daughter is vegan. Maria planned out her... More

This is my second year visiting the G Bar M for a quilting retreat. The hospitality is wonderful, and the food Maria cooks is always good and plentiful. Our extra treat this year was the elk bugling and their visit down to the fields. I have stayed at Mary's cabin two years in a row and enjoyed the privacy. For... More

I had hoped to return to horse camping in Yellowstone this year, but the dates didn't work out so I chose to visit the G-M Ranch instead. What a terrific decision! Everything I love about my favorite back country areas in Yellowstone - wildlife, quiet, meadows full of wildflowers (even in August!), excellent horses, long rides, natural rhythms of the... More

Our family has been coming to the G Bar M outside of Bozeman for 30 years. The ranch has been owned and operated by the same family since the early1900's and the Leffingwells are well respected ranchers, horse trainers, and members of the community. There are no hot tubs or coctail hours here as found at some dude ranches. There... More
