We had a wonderful week at Pine Butte. Loved the hiking with the naturalist, horseback riding, and the hikes outside the ranch property. Food was very good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is sufficiently small that you get to know the other guests and the staff, which was great! Accommodations were very comfortable and home-like.... More

Just spent a week at Pine Butte Guest Ranch with family. It was a magical time! The ranch is absolutely beautiful, the staff are truly outstanding, the food is superb and the experiences they offer have something for everyone: hiking, riding, relaxing in their unbelievably beautiful surroundings. A true getaway from my day to day life. The Nature Conservancy's work... More

My husband and I stayed 1 week at the Pine Butte Guest Ranch for a Photography Workshop. Our photography mentor was Kenton Rowe, Wildlife photographer - has wonderful knowledge and love of wildlife. We have never been to Montana and this workshop took us to some great locations for sunrise, sunset, star trails, and wildlife photos. Some of the walks... More

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Pine Butte Guest ranch. My son and I spent a week at the ranch and had a wonderful time. Each day we had the choice between hiking with the naturalist or horseback riding. Some days you could do a half-day of each. My 11-year-old son made the choice to ride... More

My two sisters and I went in July and had a great time. They have scheduled hikes and horseback riding but we wanted to go on our own (because we do it every year some where). They let us hike on our own and even packed us lunches to take. Of course they gave us a can of bear spray... More

Pine Butte Guest Ranch is a very special place. The scenery is spectacular, the accommodations wonderful, the staff extraordinary, the food out-of-this-world! Freshly baked muffins, scones and bread every breakfast and dinner!!!! And the horses amazing!! It was my first visit, but certainly not my last to this fabulous property.

Guided hikes every day with good naturalist. Good wildlife and birds. Guided horse rides were nice although I am not a horse person. Location spectacular. Food fabulous, fresh from garden veggies and lettuce. Wonderful employees and guests. The week was active and so relaxing. I look forward to going back

Pine Butte Guest Ranch is a great place. We did a Legacy Club trip in late August and the facilities and staff were better than expected. The activities such as hiking and horseback riding were well planned and offered something for everyone. Larry the naturalist was a great hiking guide and the wranglers Mike & Bri did a nice job... Pine Butte Guest Ranch is a very outstanding place. We spent a week there from July 28th to 8/4th . This splendid guest ranch has outstanding staff and comfortable accomodations. The food is delicious - most of it locally sourced, or from their own greenhouse and gardens. Loved the Cowboy cook out dinner. One has to be impressed that TNC... More
