I stayed at the Finlen for the inaugural Winter Blues Festival. Elvin Bishop played the Motherlode Theater with some of Norton Buffalo's old band. The Knockouts opened for Elvin. The show was phenomenal and being able to walk back and forth from the Finlen to the Motherlode and down to the Metals to watch the Grizzlies play Eastern Washington in... More

We stayed for two nights, for an older than 90 years hotel, its wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and we had a great view. The only thing the room didn't have was a coffee maker. In the Hotel also they don't serve food but we went elsewhere. The downtown is like old Chicago and not much traffic, beautiful old brick buildings,... More

This is a beautiful property in a unique city in a beautiful state. So--why an average rating? It was an average stay. Truly, this is a beautiful property and I think it would be perfect for a wedding, meetings, reunions or any other large party. That said, the rooms are well-priced but nothing special. The service is acceptable, but limited.... More

We wanted a place to stop overnight between Spokane and Jackson and we chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews but we were really disappointed. The lady who checked us in was not not at all friendly and didn't give us any information about the hotel or the local area. In fact, we didn't realise there was a bar, lounge or... More

Overall this was a good value for a quick getaway. Butte is a very interesting and historical town and it has some wonderful restaurants. Our room was nice sized and clean. We were disappointed there were no coffee makers or small fridge. They did provide coffee downstairs but no other amenities. This is a very historic hotel and we expected... More

This hotel is a real find. The lighting and banisters hark back to Butte's copper boom- beautiful and elegant. It is clean and reasonably priced, located close to Montana Tech. Staff is all very friendly and helpful, a real team.

This is a historic and independent hotel in uptown Butte. The hotel is really nice, the service was very friendly and helpful. We had a room for 5 adults (a suite), which turned out to be huge and very cheap! We had a wonderful view on the city and the valley, and we were in walking distance to everywhere in... More

Recently we met family in Butte. We had never visited Butte and only viewed it from a stop for gas along Interstate 15. My brother had stayed there before and suggested that we meet at the Finlen. We found a beautiful but modest hotel with a grand connection to the past. The room was simple and very clean, The staff... More

I stayed in the main hotel, not the motor lodge portion. The rooms are small because it is an old hotel. Wifi, decent TV, lots of channels. No fridge or coffee maker in the room. The hotel has a bar that opens at 5 p.m. but no restaurant or coffe shop. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within a... More
