What a nice park. So much for the kids to do. First they hit the mini golf..which is free for the kids. Then it was off to the crystal clear pool. The laundry room was clean and they have a swing chair on the porch while you wait. The kids loved the the ice cream social. They have a nicely... More

The campground is pretty nice; bathrooms are clean, the campground is well-laid out, and children have a great time. Typical KOA. However, this campground is very expensive! I reserved a tent site via phone call and I was assured that my site was "on the Yellowstone River." This special tent site cost me $49; an exorbitant price but I figured,... More

Camped in 35 ft fifth wheel overnight. Crowded campground. Tight and close sites. Unlevel gravel sites. Expensive. The campground next door looks better. Don't know rates. It is Yellowstone River Campground. Getting out was difficult due to driving land being very narrow. Would not stay here again.

Very large and lovely sites backing the river and mountains on the outskirts of Billings. Slow wifi and iffy cable earn the lower than five rating. The sites themselves are a solid five stars with level pads, rocking chairs, fire pits and lush grass.

We stayed here one night and were very pleased with the overall park. Many of the sites have a large patio and fire pit, some with grills, and picnic tables. There are a lot of sites, from pull-throughs, to back-ins, to tent sites, a little bit of everything. There is access to the Yellowstone river off the back of the... More

I actually haven't stayed here, we were going to. After doing a ton of research we booked a reservation for next year. Yes it was a great rate, but having never stayed in a koa, we had no idea what to expect. So we paid the deposit. About 4 hours later we get an email the reservation has been cancelled.... More

We stayed one night. The campground was clean and well organized. We were checked in quickly. WiFi worked well. You do get lots of aircraft and road noise. The Yellowstone River is right over the dike should one wish to go look at it

We don't normally stay at KOAs because of the price. But this place was actually less costly than its neighbor campground. When you first pull off the interstate the first campground you come to is a Good Sams campground that is priced about $10 higher. I suspect the Good Sams campground is higher because you come to it first, certainly... More

Although this is the home of KOA, it is an average campground. There are just too many sites that are so close that you feel like being in a ghetto. There are numerous transient families living in the cabins. Certainly not vacation campers. Not a secure or pleasant stay.

This campground was the first KOA in the world. We reserved on line while on the road and Billings was our stop over on a two day drive to Glacier National park. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Provided good explainations of current happenings in the campground. Being we didn't need full hook-ups, we were needing water and electricity for the... More
