The River Valley Inn is a great place to stay! The staff is helpful and friendly. Our room was CLEAN! We where able to get a room with three beds. Not having to get two rooms saved us quite a bit! If you are stopping in Big Timber stay at the River Valley Inn!

Steve and Cathy went out of their way to make sure we were treated well. I highly recommend this motel to any going through Montana in the area. We opted to stay here over the coupon booklet places in Bozeman. Breakfast area is a common table, so visiting with other travelers at breakfast was really nice. Stop in and be... More

We stopped here during a big family trip, renting 3 rooms. Each room was clean from the get go, no strange smells, clean sheets, the showers were not messy at all. The staff was friendly and helpful, no problems on that part. Our only annoyance was that the dining room was small, we couldn't sit around the only table at... More

Staff was very nice, the room exceptionally clean in good condition, and had none of the problems mentioned by the other comments. We paid $94 for double queen beds. Only negative was breakfast was sparse and barely adequate.

Actually, the room was surprisingly good. One light bulb was out, but that was easily replaced. The room was fine, although the position of the lighting good be adjusted. Haven't had the breakfast yet, we'll see about that. Walls very thin, it sound as though the Indiana University Marching Hundred were upstairs! Doubt whether that will interfere with sleep, though.

Room was very large and spacious enough to sleep as many as 7 people, and for a very reasonable rate, however, the beds were SO uncomfortable! I could've probably slept on the sidewalk and it would've been more cozy. They should definitely invest in new mattresses. Otherwise was a decent stay.

The River Valley Inn was adequate, barely. It was clean and the front desk people were nice. The beds were comfortable, except for the thin pillows. That's about my list of good things. The first problem was that they had lost my reservation. I had talked to them by phone twice, but they had no record of my reservation. They... More

Skip the Super 8 directly off the highway, drive about a half mile down the road and stay here instead. I stayed there with my 8 year old daughter. Very clean rooms and very nice owners. I liked the view of the Rockies in the far distance. I will stay here again the next time I travel through Montana. Thanks!

This is a very nice small motel. The room was large, immaculately clean and nicely decorated. The lighting over the beds was bright enough to read by which is uncommon these days with the low wattage bulbs now used everywhere. The motel owner checked us in and was very friendly. The WiFi was fast and there were lots of TV... More

We had a fair-sized trek from Oregon to Wyoming to relocate! The River Valley Inn was the cleanest, homiest, most reasonably priced place we stayed in. In fact, we have traveled across the U.S. twice this year and stayed in many places. River Valley Inn the was best all-around. There are fancier places to be sure, but you pay the... More
