Pretty much nothing works in your room. Other than the fact that the rooms have beautiful views and are conveniently located, I wouldn't stay here again. Noisy rooms, the door to the balcony doesn't seal shut so if you stay here when it is cold like I am doing now - well good luck ! The thermostat and heater seem... more

The hotel is located in a great spot if you want to ski, fish, river raft, cycle, etc. The area is very scenic. The problem is the hotel could simply use a renovation. The interior reminds you of the 1970's, and updating the hotel would go a long way. The gym on the first floor is lacking with little weights... more

I'll start with something good: the staff is friendly. We stayed at the Huntley because everything else in Big Sky was booked months in advance - clue number one. We were there for a conference so while my spouse was busy with that, I was busy experiencing the motel'ish surroundings. I consider myself an avid traveler and a relatively objective... more

We stayed in a loft room at the Huntley Lodge - mom and two teen girls. Perfect for us (everyone got their own queen bed). Hotel is clean - not super plush but very comfortable. If you are looking for upscale - try the newer Summit Hotel. Huntley is great for access around resort. Since we were on top floor... more

Excellent breakfast buffet! Great location makes any place in the mtn village just a short walk away. Nice atmosphere. Love the wood-burning fireplace in the depressed lobby area! -great spot to chill & hang out! Rooms have PLENTY of extra pillows and blankets, making it very easy to create a comfy bed on the floor! several drinking glasses provided at... more

Huntley lodge may be a little run down but it has it charm with those big fireplaces, like the sunken lodge. The rooms are OK for one person but the few closets and drawers will not be enough for 2. Breakfast is great compared to other American hotels, with 2 chefs frying omelettes and a vast variety of cooked food... more

So, we heard (from one of the staff) that their bookings are down so much (in the winter of 08/09) that they laid off 25% of the staff. This explains why the service was suffering. I really dont care. I am easy to please. But the group I was with had complaints. Nothing major. But nothing you should have to... more

Have stayed here for 1 week each of the past two years. Location is good at base of slopes. Hotel is well-maintained and clean; however it is old. (I heard last year plans of knocking it down, but it's still there). Being old - walls are thin, floors are creaky (you'll hear the people walking around upstairs). None of the... more

Overall, the Huntley has some nice positives, but also some strong negatives. It's clear that the majority of the staff make efforts to enhance the guest experience at the Huntley. Almost everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful: bellboys, convention center employees, cafeteria and Chet's Bar staff, health club staff, and other facility employees. The included breakfast, with its... more

Was in town for a Medical Symposium (Symposia Medicus) and stayed at the "host hotel". First trip to Big Sky, MT.. and overall was a good experience with hiking, horseback riding (Jakes horses), walk to Ousel Falls, etc. The Hotel stay was a bit disappointing... first of all we arrive with 2 kids in tow and 5 large pieces of... more
