I was in Big Sky earlier in July for a business meeting, and stayed at the Huntley Lodge. Squeaky floors. Thin walls. No air conditioning (but there is a 12" oscillating fan.) A/C is not needed most of the time, but room can be very hot on a sunny day in the summer. Although the room and the lodge in... More

Lobby and staff are incredible. Rooms, not so much. We had a 3 queen loft suite, so our family of six could all sleep in a bed. The fanciness of the hotel stopped the second the cowboy bellhop opened the door to the room. Carpet was pulling up in a weird spot so that you were constantly tripping over it,... More

This place is dirty, they clean only the basic stuff, do not look under the bed or behind the night stands. The place has no air conditioning and overall, everything is very outdated. We had a coffee spill on the floor when we arrived. Nobody cleaned it for 5 days. The room is hot on the third floor, try to... More

Maid service is terrible; I walked into my room with the bed sloppily made. The maid did not restock the shower amenities, and I had to request them from the concierge. The bedsheets had suspicious stains on them (dark purple and red stains). The maid also did not pick up the dirty towels that we had left on the floor.... More

For those if you thinking of staying here, DONT! I will let you have the nasty side first. I woke up with literally 50 or more bed bug bites, that's right, 50. I have an itch that would make a city rat miserable. And it looks disgusting. That is why cleanliness rating goes automatically to zero. It may not be... More

Dear Mr. Root: I was greatly disheartened to read of your Huntley review and appreciate the opportunity to respond to your statements. I had tried to connect with you prior to your departure but was not successful in getting through to you. I emailed your roommate as that was the only contact information we had for you; I am hoping... More

Like other reviews said, it can be loud in the room. You can definitely hear other people talking in the hall, taking showers. But overall, the front desk is nice and welcome. Room is clean with all the necessary stuff. TV with good channels, yes, espn for the World Cup !! As a heavy sleeper, I think the place is... More

If you were coming for the mountain itself or proximity to the ski lifts or hiking trails around the ski areas, this is in a great location. The rooms were large and clean, though a bit dated, and the staff was very professional and thoughtful throughout my three-day stay. The beds were large and comfortable, as well. The biggest complaint... More

Just returned from 4 night stay at the Huntley Lodge in Big Sky,Montana. We had never been to Montana before and we were not disappointed. Wonderful place, gorgeous scenery, plenty of nice restaurants and every place was staffed with young energetic staff that were helpful and eager to please. We took tram to the top of Lone Peak Mountain which... More

This hotel is in an incredibly scenic area. The rooms are large, with a small table and a little kitchenette area with a fridge, coffee maker, and sink. The room and the bathroom are impeccably clean. Upon check in we received a call to see how our room was, and if we needed anything. The staff is incredibly attentive. The... More

The rooms come with earplugs because you absolutely couldn't sleep without them unless there is nobody else staying in your wing of the hotel. It is SO LOUD. Every time the people in the room upstairs from is rolled over the creaking from their bed woke us up. The "free" breakfast ended up costing us 20 minutes of waiting for... More

Conveniently located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this three-story hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort.
