This summer my sister and her family and my husband and dog Daisy spent two nights at the Huntley Lodge. We made reservations for one of their loft rooms because there was room for the six of us and the dog too. There were three queen sized beds (one of which was upstairs in the loft). The room was large... More

I was in Big Sky last fall for a family event and we stayed at another nearby hotel which was OK. This time I came alone on my way to California and stayed at Huntley and I wish I'd done it last time. The rooms are great, very clean and (at least mine did) have a great view of Lone... More

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Great location and very reasonable prices! We arrived early (noon), were told our room wasn't quite ready and were told they would let the housekeepers know we were there and have a priority put on getting our room ready. Bottom line, it took 4.75 hours before the room was ready... More

As other reviewers mention, the rooms are dated, however they are fully functional and comfortable. The staff was helpful and the public areas were quite nice. The room rate of ~250.00 per night plus the cancellation policy (30 day prior to visit for any refund at all plus one night prepaid upon making the reservation) make it less attractive. If... More

Since we had a good deal for this place ($150 for a room) I consider this place as OK, but if I would have paid the regular price of around twice as much then the review would be way worse. The entrance to the hotel looks stunning, so is the reception desk. But as soon as you start looking at... More

Very friendly, helpful and approachable staff. I must admit I did little research about the hotel as it was at discounted rates for a conference. The good: staff, clean, good location, good wifi. The lacklustre: small kitchenette with limited appliances - only a tiny fridge and a drip coffee machine that had no carafe, but this wasn't a problem as... More

I was in Big Sky earlier in July for a business meeting, and stayed at the Huntley Lodge. Squeaky floors. Thin walls. No air conditioning (but there is a 12" oscillating fan.) A/C is not needed most of the time, but room can be very hot on a sunny day in the summer. Although the room and the lodge in... More

We are disappointed to hear that we did not exceed your expectations during your recent stay at the Huntley Lodge. Please know that we are addressing the housekeeping issues. The Huntley Lodge is historic, located in a mountain climate and does not have the comfort of modern air conditioning. We appreciate your suggestion to have conference/speaker phones available for guests,... More

Lobby and staff are incredible. Rooms, not so much. We had a 3 queen loft suite, so our family of six could all sleep in a bed. The fanciness of the hotel stopped the second the cowboy bellhop opened the door to the room. Carpet was pulling up in a weird spot so that you were constantly tripping over it,... More

This place is dirty, they clean only the basic stuff, do not look under the bed or behind the night stands. The place has no air conditioning and overall, everything is very outdated. We had a coffee spill on the floor when we arrived. Nobody cleaned it for 5 days. The room is hot on the third floor, try to... More

Maid service is terrible; I walked into my room with the bed sloppily made. The maid did not restock the shower amenities, and I had to request them from the concierge. The bedsheets had suspicious stains on them (dark purple and red stains). The maid also did not pick up the dirty towels that we had left on the floor.... More

Conveniently located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this three-story hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort.
