My girlfriend and I had a perfect all day ride in Yellowstone Park.... Mary our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. I am not a super experienced rider but we covered some stunning scenery and even climbed to the top of a huge hill so that we could see Lone Mountain Peak from the top. The horses were beautiful and... More

The cabins were nicely appointed. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in a duplex cabin which is a perfect arrangement -- two bedrooms connected through 2 bathrooms, each with separate entrances. Each bedroom had either a stone fireplace or an iron stove for heat, which was wonderful at night. Meals are served restaurant style - you can... More

I'm really sorry we missed the opportunity to share the best side of the LMR horseback riding experience. We should have taken you on of our incredible all day rides in Yellowstone Park or the Gallatin National Forest . It is true the shorter rides around the ranch move at the pace of the comfort level of the least experienced... More

It would be hard for me to picture our ranch experience being any better: phenomenal location, incredible food (thanks a Chef Nick), dining room service (NO, was never an answer, Eva, Laura, Annie) wicked fun horse trips (you're the best Elliot, Craig and Mary), breathtaking hikes, and the great housekeeping staff that came and went so stealthily (the little touches... This is an incredible synopsis of your recent stay at Lone Mountain Ranch! Thank you for taking the time to share your entire experience from the food and beverage team preparing Gluten Free items, to the full day ride into Yellowstone Park. Very few guests take the ride up to Deer Lake for fly fishing, so thank you for being... More

It's rare that I have been sad to leave a lodge or hotel, but this is what I felt as we left LMR. There is something special about this place. Most importantly, the staff are exceptional. They are warm, genuine, friendly and helpful, without being overly cloying or sycophantic. The wranglers have a relaxed charm that put us all at... More

Everything was perfect! There was a lot of food, but totally worth it. My parents enjoyed it, and will possibly bring the whole family up there for Christmas / new years. The horse ride was awesome, especially in the rain. It's not too hot, nor cold there. we drank a lot of water, which is better than the other ranches... More

After a fabulous day of fishing, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafter, zip-lining, ropes, skeet shooting or mountain biking with amazing staff and/or outfitters and LMR provided transportation, everyone in out group of 15 wanted food, real food. We did not want infused syrups, homemade sesame dressing smeared across the bottom of the beautiful plate in what appeared to be cream... More
