I did not know what to expect in such a small town but this was a really pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and it was a quick drive from Glacier NP. The only drawback was the wifi does not work unless you are in the store, which is pretty well stocked for a small store.

We had to find another place to stay when they closed our place in St. Mary and we found this place. The people are just wonderful, so helpful and friendly. There was a lot of space in the room for the three of us and the room was very clean. Had a refrigerator which was a big help for storing... More

What do I love?? Remote mountain areas, Amazing air, proximity to favorite hikes, a REAL general store, and a wonderful cafe right across the road. The downstairs rooms at Thronsons have been renovated and are HUGE. The upstairs rooms will be done over the winter. Wooden floors--Yea! So clean! A fridge! You walk a few steps to the general store... More

What a great place to stay! So very convenient to the Many Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park, and don't judge the book by it's cover! The room was HUGE, with two queen beds arranged with so much additional space around each, and so very very clean, and super quiet! I felt right at home in this room. The staff... More

We had a snafu in our hotel reservation elsewhere, but Thronson's was able to give us an extra night, which saved the day. This is a fantastic location, near the Many Glaciers/Swift Current area of GNP. They worked hard to get us Wi-Fi. Note to internet addicts: just forget about trying to stay connected in this part of the world.... More

Location, location, location! The motel is located about 15 or so minutes outside of Many Glacier. My husband and I stayed one night. The accommodations were very basic for $100 + tax. Our room had a queen bed, just two pillows, a small fridge, a fan, a TV with one channel (DVDs were available for check out), and a bathroom... More

We loved the atmosphere of this place enough to come back and stay here on our way out of Glacier Park. We stayed in Thronson's because it was hard to find lodging anywhere else near Glacier. We came back a few days later because we liked the off the beaten path feel of the whole small town. Thronson's was clean... More

Having stayed in several motels over the last few months, this was acceptable but certainyl didn't stand out from the crowd, especially given the price. Firstly, the room was perfectly suitable, large, and had a nice bathroom (and bath). Well aired, wooden floors. Amenity-wise, though, it was somewhat lacking. When the person in the store said to me that they... More

Overall, I had a good stay at Thronson's. You can't beat the location near the Many Glacier region of Glacier NP. The room was very minimalistic, but it was fine for our purposes. We were basically just looking for something convenient and inexpensive. The bed was comfortable. The shower was on par with a campground shower. I would have worn... More

The motel is a wonderful place for access to both Glacier and the Canadian park just across the border. Room 14 is a large L shape and has 2 queen beds, perfect for friends traveling together.. Having looked at accommodations within the park, our motel room seemed luxurious. The general store has everything you might need; why did I weigh... More
