My son and I needed a room on a Friday night near St Mary's at Glacier Park. We had a room for Saturday and Sunday night at East Glacier Lodge. We arrived at midnight (I called at 9:30 pm to inform them of our late arrival). I was concerned because some of the reviews were negative but we found our... More

Since we don't other choice between Many Glacier and St Mary, we booked a room with Montana's Duck Lake Lodge before we headed to Glacier. Montana's Duck Lake Lodge is actually a hostel. We have to share the bathroom with others. The shower is dirty and disgusting to me since soap scam is heavy on the shower door. The door... More

My husband and I drove through Glacier National Park and stopped at St. Mary's Lodge. They had no vacancies and referred us to the Duck Lake Lodge. They convinced us it was cozy and comfortable, but had a lot of animals on the walls so to be aware of that. I thought, great! Sounds like a better place than this... More

If you want a rustic experience, then this is a great choice for you. Personally, I would have preferred different accommodations. The dead flies in the bathroom window sill were gross. The "family suite" was adjacent to the bar. Luckily the other guests weren't too loud. But that didn"t matter necause we couldn't sleep anyway because we couldn't open the... More

A couple of us meet at Duck Lake Lodge (DLL) each May for housing, food, and outstanding fishing and photography. This was our 7th consecutive year staying with the good folks a The Lodge and we plan on doing it again next year....despite some of the comments posted by others. It's sad to see these yuppies coming from New York... More

I came here with my friends two weeks ago and really liked being here. We just needed a place to crash for the night as we were going to be out all day, so this place was just what we needed. The host was very friendly, our room was decent and the bathroom was okay. There was some confusion with... More

First off, the lodge is a couple of miles from Duck Lake, but is in a lovely, peaceful location. This is a decent place to stay if all you need is somewhere to stay close to Glacier Nat'l Park. This is essentially a campground with a rustic lodge. Our room had a king-size bed and a small wood table. Nothing... More

Might be OK for a fishing buddies weekend, but that is all. I think this is a family run operation and that the operators had no hotel experience. We were told that the rooms had been newly upgraded. First of all, we had a shared bathroom for six rooms, each of which was for two people. So imagine trying to... More

We arrived to GNP early and needed 2 rooms last minute for 2 nights. Booked this place through a website and when we arrived, they had not "organized" the reservations booked and were unsure if they could accomodate us, luckily they still had 2 rooms available. The location was wonderful, removed from everything, but still easy access to GNP and... More

We stayed here because everything was booked up inside the park for the night we needed. Also were were driving up to Waterton Lakes the next morning so this was a great option along the road between Glacier and Waterton Lakes. The lodge is run by a very nice family and although they are not 5 star accomodations it is... More
