Peoples Choice Motel
1001 N. Locust St, Sweet Springs, MO 65351
Traveling from Utah to Massachusetts. Came upon this motel. Advertised as $40.00 a night double occupancy. Just after entering room, toilet overflowed. Manager tried to snake toilet and then left snake, bucket and overflow mess all over floor. Refused to clean up. Would not give another room. Just expected us to stay in the filth. We contacted police when manager refused to not charge credit card because we refused to spend the night in such a disgusting mess. Officer said it was a civil matter, but manager has been known to overcharge and not take care of rooms. He is trying to charge us $86.00 and we never stayed. Contacting BBB & Attorney General of MO. Traveler Beware!
