Stayed one night in early May 2015 and was very satisfied with the motel. We did the 6 mile canoe float in the morning and toured the cave in the late afternoon. Staying in the motel was perfect for us as we were completely beat by the end of the busy day. We stayed in deluxe room #2 which was... More

We slept at this hotel during our Route 66 trip, and after visiting Meramec Caverns. No wifi, no fridge, and overall a bit "retro" - do not compare this to the modern highway big chains. But good and clean beds, a clean bathroom and nice folks at the reception. The hotel is supposed to get wifi later in the season.

Just what you would expect from a motel. Nothing fancy but all you need. Staff was friendly and location was perfect. It was walking distance to the caves, zip line and we even walked down by the river and collected shells. Nice quiet place to just relax and have fun.

This motel is located immediately adjacent to Meramec Caverns. It is relatively no frills, but the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It has an end-of-the-world feel to it, because it is at the end of a three mile bumpy road off the highway. It is a great place to overnight if you are driving from the Dallas area to... More

Let me start out by saying this hotel is old but it is very well maintained. The tub is small but you only really should shower in a hotel anyway so that was not bad. Our bathroom sink was very slow draining so the hotel might want to tend to that but nothing major and if I knew someone heading... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Meramec Caverns Motel mostly because of the location right on the river. The room was clean and big enough. We had a little trouble with one of the beds and the management attended to it immediately. Everything is right there, the entrance to the cave, a restaurant, zip line, riverboat ride, picnicking and camping.... More

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did drive here to visit the caverns and take the canoe trip. After we paid $37, we were loaded in a minivan and taken to a location up river and dropped off. They set everything up for us, all we had to do was get in the canoe and start paddling. it... More

FIrst of all ..I am not sure what the picture is of with the price on top of the motel..as this looks nothing like where we stayed when there. The outside is clean and well kept. As are the rooms..some are retro, but have been kept and other rooms have been updated. Our room faced the river and picnic area... More

This is a tourist motel associated with the caverns and dates back from the early days of Rt 66. The rooms are old, but very well maintained. The TV is outdated, but It would be a waste to watch TV there anyway because the surroundings are awesome. The motel faces the campground and river which is very picturesque and quiet.... More

This review is for the Meramac Caverns, not the motel. I don't understand why there is no review topic here on T/A for the Caverns. It was a cool 50 degrees in Meramac Caverns. You decsend about 500 feet below the earths surface. The tour lasted about 90 minutes. I got some nice pictures with a digital camera. Sorry Texters and... More
