My Girlfriend and I stayed at the University Plaza this past weekend while in Springfield, MO attending a wedding. The original rate was $124/night however with the wedding group discount we paid $96/night. Do not believe the hype, this is not the best place to say in Springfield. After reading other reviews I was prepared for the worst - but did not find it. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made some good recommendations for dinner (at a great Italian restaurant about a block away) and gave us change ($8 worth of quarters for the washer and dryer - which were $1.25 each - a bit high).... more
