I think that I have been spoiled. I' m afraid that after you have been a guest in other B&B's, Walnut Street won't meet your expectations. The house itself is lovely. The outside patio areas and such need to be taken better care of; they were dirty looking (the back door ones) and were not inviting. The back yard area... more

This is a nice home right by the college. Parking was a little tight. We were greeted by a very nice person who showed us to our room in the carriage house and took our breakfast desires (time and place). We enjoyed the uniqueness of the room and it was cozy with the fireplace. I felt the bed was a... more

This was a business trip, but the hotel site for our convention was booked full, nearest chain a mile away, so booked this B&B just across the street. The big hotel was $130 +/-, this B&B was about $90, so my boss will be pleased with the expense. The place is well decorated with antiques, fresh home made cookies in... more

I found the Walnut Street Inn to be a haven of rest from the maddening crowds of the modern world. The accomodations were comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly without being obtrusive and over- bearing. The food was excellent and nicely presented. It was a pleasant change of pace from the sterile surroundings of modern business hotels. more

My friend and I each booked a room in the main house on the 2nd floor. It was so nice, because the 3 rooms upstairs have their own living room. The McCann room and the Rosen rooms were both lovely. They each have their own bath and little refrigerator and coffee maker. Both mornings the breakfast was delicious. They checked... more

We spent our first Valentine's Day together at the Walnut Street Inn in the Findley Suite. The Findley is located two houses down from the main inn and is a lovely, private get away. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. There is a very large four poster feather bed that is incredibly comfortable. The staff was very accomodating of... more

We just returned from our stay at the Walnut Inn and rushed to write what a pleasant experience we had there. It is a charming building with lovely rooms and an excellent location. The staff is warm and attentive and they made us feel welcomed. Great breakfasts, a beautiful room (the Robertson), and a nightly baked treat made our visit... more

I surprised my husband for Valentine's Day with a night in the Danzero Room at the Walnut Street Inn. It was PERFECT!!!! We sat outside at the little bistro table outside our room and sipped coffee. The room itself was BEAUTIFUL and what a GREAT jacuzzi for two!!! The staff was exceptional and breakfast was WONDERFUL!!! I had another surprise... more

We stayed at this wonderful B&B in 1992 on our honeymoon! I was searching for a place to stay during a 2004 trip with our kids and ran across this B&B still operating. It was a beautiful place and had such fine service. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a special retreat. more

We send all of our business guests to the Walnut St B and B, unless they really want the chain hotel experience. They are very hospitable, breakfasts are wonderful, hosts are very flexible and welcoming. My wife and I have also stayed here. Each room is furnished in a unique way with a different historical theme. Once people have stayed... more
