As the name implies, the motel is a well-preserved remnant of the Route 66 era. If you're looking for a resort, keep looking. If you want to spend the night in an old-fashioned Route 66 motor court, you've found your place. Despite it's age, the property looked fairly well-maintained, and the guy at the front desk who dealt with us... more

I had a suite, and found it to be excellent. Very clean, warmly decorated, comfortable beds and good bathroom. The main room was more a square, so it was quite spacious. The other bedroom was small, but for the small extra amount, well worth it. There was no problem with noise whatsoever, and the heating unit worked fine. The staff... more

We stayed at the Railhaven while travelling Route 66 in our prewar British Austin Sevens in 2006 and recieved a most warm welcome. Then again in 2008 we visited again and, in spite of being in an 'ordinary' Buick recieved an equally warm welcome - and even recieved a card fom them when we returned to the UK! The rooms... more

Like most people seem to, my wife and I stayed here during our Route 66 road trip. The room was only average (although my wife hated it, I'm prepared to be a little more charitable!) - the one big issue was the smell. Clearly the room had been inhabited by smokers despite being sold as 'Non Smoking' (As it turned... more

Let me first start off by saying how disappointed I am about the condition of your stay. At the Best Western Route 66 Rail Haven, we take pride in our heritage as one of the original and most decorated historical Route 66 Motor Lodges, and your stay with us should have been no exception. Currently, we are in the process...

We were driving Rte. 66 East to West, so it was fitting we stop at this motel, and we were very happy that we did. It was nostalgic of old-style '50s motels, but very well maintained. The lobby and breakfast areas were decorated with memorabilia of that era (formica tables, old signs, etc.) and the breakfast was the best motel... more

Great hotel. This is a Route 66 icon and when planning our trip from the UK, we saw this in the Guide books. It was because of this hotel that we started booking Best Western Hotels the whole way across the remainder of the trip to LA. The hotel is renovated and restored. Hotel is great and kids loved it.... more

I would have to rate the Best Western Rail Haven on an average. When you walked into the room it was very pleasant looking, but it had a damp atmosphere. The carpet had a damp feeling plus the chairs. We figured it was because the fan was only running and not the air conditioner. The atmosphere somewhat cleared up after... more

I was surprised at the $80 rate for two beds, but it was worth it. We traveled on the Route 66 and it is really hard to find a decent old-fashioned motel, but this one is great. It is very well taken care of and the rooms are clean and well-appointed. The grounds were clean and appealing, the outdoor pool... more

Our family of four enjoyed a lovely stay at the Rail Haven. We appreciated the hotel's Route 66 history--and its unique charm that captures the past. So many hotels these days are generic and this one is truly unique. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of thought and care into creating a unique personality for this... more
