A few of the problems we had at the park can be blamed on mother nature. The area had a large snow a week before and most had melted.....leaving behind a muddy mess !!!!! The lots are not very long.....and we had the 2nd more expensive lot rate. Thankfully the park was far from full and the lot in front... More

Thanks for your honest feedback. We wanted to take this opportunity to address some of your concerns and really appreciate you acknowledging that some things (like early winter snow!) are beyond our control. Most of our campers tell us they love our level sites so our best guess is that the residual effects of that storm caused some of your... More

We made reservations at the Route 66 KOA to surprise our daughter attending MSU. The campground was easy to find off of I-44. The grounds are well maintained and decorated for the season which was nice. Campsites are great, level, hookups centrally located and wide enough to accommodate multi-slide units. The almost hourly trains was relaxing although the dog did... More

It is so great to hear that your daughter has begun her future in our town! We are so glad you'll be coming back to visit us throughout her college years and that you found our trains relaxing.. There are quite a few other people who love our trains as well. We would consider moving those paper towels to a... More

Springfield /Rt 66 KOA is a fair drive from home (500 mi) and it's nice to get a warm welcome & a clean campsite at the end of the day.The friendly staff will deliver firewood and pretty good pizza right to the campsite. The park store and gift shop are better than most. We usually park our coach in one of... More

We stayed here while visiting the sights in the area & attended a Springfield Cardinals game. Nice, shady spots. Couldn't get our satellite to work because of the trees but we weren't inside much anyway. Cable tv leaves a lot to be desired as far as channel selection. Owners/Hosts are very friendly & helpful. Several trains ran through close by... More

We stayed at this KOA RV park last July and was very pleased with it. All the spaces were in shady spots and hook-ups were easily done. Nice and flat. They had a lot of pull through spots also and we noticed there were quite a few large bus style motor home RV's and they were able to navigate easily... More

Thanks for your kind words about our park! It is so great to hear someone loved our beautiful trees that provide our campers with so much shade on warm summer days. We hope you enjoyed our delicious pizza, it seems to be quite the hit with our guests. Hope to see you again soon! More

Noisy. Trains at all hours and no respect for quiet hours. Noisy animals (pets mostly dogs) at all hours day and night. Disappointed with amenities and overall guest services. Not sure this would be a KOA that I would put in the top ten. Have certainly stayed in better but only one other was worse.

Couldn't sleep with all of the trains rolling through. This was a work trip, so would really have been nice to get some sleep. Dog park is only good for small lap dogs. There is so much open space around the dog park and it would be nice if they made the dog area larger so a dog could actually... More

My husband and I hadn't had our 5th wheel out since we can back from Texas in Feb. On a spur of a moment we decided to hook up and go to Springfield/Route66 KOA campground which is only 25 miles from us for a weekend. Very enjoyable campground, the pizza and ice social was wonderful. We just did the ice... More

Excellent park with superb management. Sites well spaced. Showers and restrooms clean. Located well for visiting attractions in Springfield. Probably the best run KOA in our experience. Office was friendly -- the folks there changed my site when I indicated that I wanted a very easy-in, easy-out site.

I think by far this was the BEST KOA of all the campgrounds we stayed at during the three weeks we were on vacation. The place was clean, the staff very friendly.. Loved being able to order pizza and having it delivered. All in all it was one of our most enjoyable and memorable experiences of our camping trip..
