We try to travel to places where drinks and food are on the cheap! This place offered great free beer and food items! Breakfast had many choices and was cafeteria style. Lunch had chicken wings, burgers, dogs, salads, chips etc. Nothing overly healthy or vegetarian friendly, but I always found something to eat as a good snack. Free popcorn in... More

I have always loved staying here due to the excellent food and drink service and how great the management is. However, we were placed in a room which is apparently on the smoking floor. Despite having requested to be far from the smokers when originally booking and when we checked in. Although they are only allowed to smoke in their... More

Booked this hotel because of its close proximity to the convention center. Was within easy walking distance of the convention center which was great. Free parking made it even better! Was a little confused when we first got there. Found the front of the hotel, but wasn't sure where to park the car during the check in process. Drove around... More

the hotel isn't that bad but there are much better values for your money in the Hampton Inn just around the corner and the Hotel Lumiere through the tunnel and both are close to the convention center/edward jones dome. This is hotel is old and smells like a hospital. The security staff is a joke. I seen one of the... More

We were there watching two granddaughters compete in a gymnastics event at the convention center nearby. After a small glitch we enjoyed a very nice stay. Went to the room and found water on bathroom floor. Moved to another room but it wasn't made up. Finally got settled and they did compensate us for the problem. Good breakfast, room was... More

If you plan on sleeping earlier than 10pm and later than 5a request a room away from the pool/breakfast area. Rooms here have a door leading directly to this are or to a balcony above. Quiet time is 10p-6a. Had been on the road since 4am and was looking to go to bed around 8p. Family reunion was being held... More

Thank you for your business, as well as, the kind words regarding our staff. Our weekends can sometimes host a festive atmosphere. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Your suggestion regarding room requests is a good one. While many people enjoy these rooms for their convenience to the pool and breakfast, others prefer the rooms around... More

We live in St Louis, but booked family in this hotel. We were quite embarrassed of it, though, upon arrival. One room was a "suite", which apparently, at this hotel, suite = adding a couch. There was nothing "suite" about it. The hallways were dumpy and the rooms look as though they haven't been updated in 20 years. However, the... More

Guest feedback is so valuable to our continuous improvement and we appreciate your comments, as well as, your business. This hotel, listed on the historic registry, was once the famous St. Louis Union Market rescued, restored and converted into a hotel by the Drury Family. As a conversion, the hotel holds a certain quirkiness that most find endearing and to... More
