I stayed at the Renaissance St Louis Hotel for a convention in April and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a historic hotel that was originally built and opened to the public as this Statler Hotel. Marriott purchased the hotel a few years ago and refurbished the entire hotel. The location is a good one in the Downtown St... more

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. This was a really nice hotel. The bed and linens were so nice and comfortable. The room was a little small, but decorated very nicely. Everything was just lovely and the hotel was very, very nice. The hotel is located right downtown and is close to many of the sites.... more

Date of Stay: April 4-7, 2008 Reviewer from: Anchorage, Alaska I stayed at the Renaissance for a national conference. The hotel has a conference center that is beautiful. It is within walking distance to the stadium and the arch and two blocks from the metro. You can easily take the metro from the airport ($2) vs. $40 for a cab.... more

This was one of the better value hotels I've stayed at in a long time and quite a pleasure. We stayed in a suite, which is in a separate building across the street from the main hotel. The suite was quite pleasant - very spacious, lovely bathroom, kitchenette, living room, bedroom. Nicely appointed. Good service. There's a nice but pricey... more

The staff is top-notch at the Renaissance Grand - always helpful and polite. We were there on a quiet downtown weekend. My father & I booked adjoining rooms on the 11th. I had the feeling my room didn't get used very much - bathub faucet seemed to leaking for a while, and the Do Not Disturb sign was missing. Beds... more

My husband and I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Renaissance Hotel. We stayed in the main building and the room was beautiful and the king bed was comfy, comfy (Marriott style). The only problems witn the room was a slightly noisy air unit, but it wasn't bad enough to remind me to complain. This is really a GRAND... more

We stayed here for work for one night. The hotel seems like it could be great, but it's not quite there. A friend's room was dirty with hair all over the place when they checked in. The restaurant there (The Capri I think it's called) was not good at all. In my room, when we checked in, the bathroom door... more

The Renaissance definitely had an "old world" feel. We received turn-down service in the afternoon and chocolates on our pillow. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I absolutely hated business travel -- because I typically hate hotels. But the Renaissance is truly an exception. Not a bad choice at all! more

The hotel is very nice and clean. Room was nice. No fridge and no exhaust, which I feel are important. Since we did stay a long weekend not having the fridge was not a big issue. The hotel has a Starbucks and many attractions are nearby. The Capri restaurant has an excellent variety of foods for a reasonable price. The pool... more

For anyone taking a trip into St. Louis....I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 2 nights in the Renaissance Grand Suites in downtown. What a wonderful hotel! The grand lobby was so beautiful with a wooden/ marble spiral staircase and stained glass domed ceiling. We stayed in the suites which are directly across from the main hotel. Check-in was a... more
