As other reviewers have noted, the Renaissance Grand is under renovation. One must check in on the mezzanine, which is cramped, and the day I checked in they were having trouble getting people into their rooms in a timely fashion. Upon my arrival, the hotel told us that they did not have any rooms ready and they would call us around the official check-in time, which was 4PM. Overpriced Pros: GREATEST STAFF!!! Very friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows fine. Cons: AC was like a freight train. Bathroom door old and heavy. Shower head and mirror too high. No desk. Couch very hard.

Great tradition high end hotel experience..except the heating system was really loud. The rooms were newly renovated. Beautiful bed and amenities, but the noise was unacceptable. After all sleep is the main reason to be there...
