My wife and I had a great time at "Napoleon's Retreat". The room was impressive with its 1800s décor and the breakfast was amazing. Stacy is an incredible cook. Breakfast was always delicious and fulfilling. The surrounding area was beautiful and there were plenty of restaurants within a few blocks from the BB. There is a great chocolate bar 3x... More

Comfy bed, scrumptious breakfast, and welcoming hostess. You would be hard pressed to find finer accommodations than this lovely Victorian home! Location is great. We enjoyed strolling along Lafayette Park on the way to a recommended Italian restaurant (Eleven Eleven Mississippi) for some wonderful homemade pasta.

We stayed with Stacy for a couple of nights in September. We booked in for one night, quickly added another and regret not being able to stay even longer. Her hospitality, ease with guests, first class cooking and sumptuous bedroom made this a great experience. The location is perfect, it's a 10-minute walk to the Soulard district on a picturesque... Great location and nice surroundings. Had the whole top floor so plenty of space, but a third story climb with narrow staircase. Owner a bit curt, but I wouldn't say rude. Maybe just trying to be professional. I would have given five stars but breakfast just wasn't BnB standard. Who serves broccoli quiche lol?

Our stay at Napolean's was just absolutely amazing! The neighborhood is beautiful to stroll around and have a great dinner. Stacy is a great hostess and her home is meticulous! Breakfast was wonderful! We stayed in the burgundy room and enjoyed the jetted tub an luxurious robes! I can't wait to come back and enjoy another relaxing stay in St.... More

My husband and I love this B&B! The location is convenient--many nearby restaurants-- we enjoy "Eleven Eleven" and the "Shaved Duck"-- the inn is beautifully decorated and very clean, parking is right out front, breakfast is delicious, the hostess/owner Stacy is welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating! ... Even offering complimentary whiskey and sherry, -- and local beer from her new "keginator"... More

We only stayed one night, as we were passing through STL on our journey home. Our experience was excellent in every way. This B&B location is ideal. Within walking distance (half mile), are a variety of restarants and watering holes to explore. The Soulard district has many places of interest. On this trip we did not have time to enjoy... More

It's superbly located for people who like to walk in historic neighborhoods. Lafayette Square is minutes away, we dined a 20 minute max walk from the B&B, the next day walked 15 minutes to the adjacent Soulard historic neighborhood to visit the great city market, walked down there again to take a free shuttle to a Cardinals' game from Lewellyn's.... It was a wonderful surprise. The B&B was beautiful. The food and service were first class. The area was great just to walk through and see all the great homes build in the 1800's. The area restaurants especially the chocolate bar were great. I definitely recommend Napoleon's as the place to stay.
