Terribly shabby dirty hotel. The walls are made of kleenex and spit , I could literally hear people break wind in the next room! altogether a nasty and unpleasant place, which is a pity because it looked ok and I thought it might be a nice change from the chain hotels in the same price range but unfortunately it was... more

Stayed 1 night at the Oak Grove while in St Louis, recommended by friends. The hotel is older but well maintained, hallways are a bit dark, funky smell and odd doors in several places (but they do help cut down on hall noise). Rooms are clean and comfortable and public areas are clean, friendly staff. Great breakfast and nice seating... more

My grandson who lives in St. Louis was having a graduation party on Saturday at noon. The hotel was kind enough to let us get our room early (11:00 am check-in is at 3:00 pm) so we could change clothes and relax a few minutes with the baby after a long drive before driving to the party. It was a... more

I visited my husband who was on active duty with the military. When I got there the front desk gave me non-smoking room, but when I went to the room you could really tell that it had been smoked in. I went to the front desk and the friendly lady was very disappointed in the fact that it smelled so... more

We stayed at 3 different hotels over a period of 3 nights. Holiday Inn first, then Motel 6, then Oak Grove. Wished we stayed at Oak Grove all 3 nights. Clean, cozy. Really nice. Compared to Holiday in at twice the price! more

I brought my Girl Scout Troop and moms to St. Louis for 3 days and we loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and didn't smell like smoke at all (we had 7 rooms). The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked just fine. We arrived at 8:30 in the evening and called the front desk to get more towels/washcloths... more

My parents and sisters have stayed here on several occasions and it was fine. This time the following happened: - Non-smoking rooms had smoke coming in from exhaust fans in bathroom from upstairs smoking rooms.Changed rooms but still bad. - Had to wait 45 minutes at checkin because under-staffed. - Rooms are dirty; stained sheets; dead bugs in bathroom; bathroom... more

This place was terrible. The first 2 "non smoking" rooms smelled of smoke so bad it hit me before I opened the door. The 3rd room I was given appeared non smoking & reasonably clean, so I took it. However, I soon realized the floors were so dirty they turned my socks black within 5 minutes. The A/C shut on... more

We came here at the last minute & were pleasantly surprised! Check-in was painless, room rate was a great value, nice lobby/breakfast area, rooms were CLEAN & nicely decorated. The staff was always pleasant-we were always greeted with a smile. Housekeeping was wonderful! Nice free continental breakfast-belgian waffles, various danish & muffins, breads, cereals, fresh friut, yogurt, etc. Great location-lots... more

My boss who tends to go for the "cheaper" side of things, put me up here for a two night stay. It was aweful. It smelled terrible. There were people who obviously lived there, that were running the halls not watching thier children late hours of the night. The bedding seemed to not be clean. The free breakfast was not... more
