Lovely house, great service, nice break from motels on a long road trip. The house was seamlessly restored after an arson fire. You feel like you're in the 1880s with 21st century amenities. Breakfast was above average. I appreciated the lunch recommendation at the tea shop in town. St Jo is a peaceful town that deserves some love like these... More

My wife and I were visiting St. Joseph. When we came out of our restaurant we noticed a poster on the bulletin board for the Whiskey Mansion B&B, so we decided to stay there on our return trip. We tried to book through Trip Advisor, but it said there was no availability. We called and talked to the owner and... More

What a lovely place. Took my husband then back again with my daughters. The rooms are wonderful. Breakfast is excellent. The French toast was wonderful. Owners are wonderful and full of knowledge about the area and what to do an see.

We were here a couple of years ago, and loved it. It did not disappoint on a repeat visit. The house is a gorgeous restoration following a disastrous fire, and in places is still a bit of a work in progress - such are old houses! The rooms are well appointed, and modern conveniences are creatively incorporated into the old... More

Being a native St. Joseph gal, I will never again stay at a chain... Whiskey mansion was perfect for me and my sis for a short visit to see old friends and family. Olin, the owner is genuine and cool, a CAL grad from Savannah, using his smarts and creative genius to help transform St Joe's colorful past into something... More

I left Whiskey Mansion Bed and Breakfast feeling very angry and disappointed. Two days later, the anger has dissipated some, but not the disappointment. My husband and I wanted to have a little time alone at a quiet B&B. We're both in our forties and like to get away when opportunities present themselves. My husband is retired military so we... The home is gorgeous and true to the period! We stayed in the Nursery Room, which has its own bathroom, and I couldn't be happier with the quality and cleanliness. The owner is attentive, an amazing cook and knows everything about St. Jo. I will never stay elsewhere when in town! Buy his sourdough cranberry bread too, omg!

Everything a B&B is meant to be. Lovely old mansion, excellent food, warm and hospitable host and Sarah. A great get-a-way. Comfortable room with fresh garden flowers. Enjoyed talking to all the good folks there . Ja21859

What a beautiful B&B. The bed was comfy and Olin, the owner, was delightful. The breakfast rocked too. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling through or near St. Joe. It was the perfect weekend getaway from Kansas City.

I'm slow reviewing the Whiskey Mansion but time has not changed the fabulous trip and memories my cousin and I share from a girls weekend the end of February! From Olin and his welcome to our friend (employee) Chatty Cathy we leaned so much about the house and the St. Joseph area! Several things were closed because of the early... More
