A place in time. An 1885 Mansion with original floors, windows, pocket doors, and 43 stained glass windows. This mansion has been beautifully restored. It is truly a trip back to a time when Saint Jo was in its glory. The owner/innkeeper was a wonderful story teller. She was brimming with history and knowledge of the place. The rooms were... More

3 day stay was beyond enjoyable. Beautiful historic building is being lovingly restored to its original grandeur. Isobel is a charming, attentive, and gracious hostess. The suite was charming and comfortable; the jacuzzi quite relaxing. This place is a gem of a B&B.

The home and stay was great. If you enjoy history and homes of a different time this is the place. Our stay was quiet and relaxing with a great breakfast. Will be back again for sure. Take it all in you won't see many places left with this much character

One of the most memorable nights. Amazing establishment RICH with history...charm...and comfort. Isobel is an amazing innkeeper with strong values, which is reflected in so many ways...from the beautiful restoration ....edgy deals... Great breakfast ...felt like we were meant to be there. Each room reflects an undoubted amount of love and commitment Isobel has in her veins for this place.... More

The ambiance of the house is absolutely wonderful! If you like old and unique houses, this is a great place to visit! The rooms were in excellent condition, and the beds were fabulous. In addition, the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

I live in St Joseph and visited most, if not all the hotels and B&B in the area. This by far exceeds anything in this area and possibly any I have seen. When walking in the front door the first impression of intricate wood work, stained glass the Sistine would be envious of and a restoration process that would make... More

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast in St. Joseph! Wonderful stay and enjoyed the breakfast, and courteous host! Very comfortable bed, fabulous shower complete with towel rack that keeps warm towels for use after. We were so spoiled! St. Joseph has many great historical places to visit. The history, artwork, and stained glass windows in this home are a treasure! The Innkeeper,... More

This is by far the VERY best B&B we have ever stayed at, across the U.S. Not only is it a late 19th century mansion, on a block of equally amazing architecture, but the mansion has also been restored and no expense spared! Each Suite has a Shakespearean theme, equipped with luxurious accommodations and antiques. The impressive hill on which... More

What a wonderful experience! The historic mansion has been restored to its past grandeur and is a great place to stay. The innkeeper gave us a magnificent tour and explained the history of the house and what was involved to restore it. The stained glass windows, the ornate woodwork, and wallpaper are all very impressive to see. The rooms are... More
