We really enjoyed our visit to St. Charles and the Spanish Colonial suite at Boone's Colonial Inn. Venetia did a great job of making us feel welcome and gave us great tips of where to eat and grab a drink. Hospitable but not overbearing, they provided the perfect level of contact. The suite itself was wonderfully quiet, tastefully decorated and... More

We stayed two nights in the Spanish Room and loved every minute of it. The decor throughout was beautiful. The owners were great and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay here again. Want to try the Thomas Jefferson room next time.

We found Boon's Colonial Inn on the internet. Great choice. Because I am a light sleeper, Venetia, the inn keeper recommended the Spanish Colonial Suite. It was perfect. We sat on the deck had some wine...it was ideal. We had breakfast at their sister inn, a 10 minute walk, so we got to meet other guests. And we can't forget... More

Just had an amazing dinner here on Sunday with a wonderful woman. We were not staying at the Inn, but had arranged for a private dinner. Very romantic private dinning with great food, ambiance and hosts. Venetia and Steve were wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Everything was exactly as I asked. Emails and phone calls were answered or... More

I was very lucky to spend two luxurious nights here. Steve and Venetia are generous hosts. The inn is fabulous, historically important and beautifully restored. It's right on the historic main street and within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops. The French Colonial Suite was just stunning and very comfortable. There's a jacuzzi and an excellent walk in... More

Having now stayed in our first B&B, my wife and I are spoiled forever! Steve and Venetia, the resident "Innkeepers" were kind, courteous and most helpful with their local knowledge of both St. Charles and St. Louis. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, the amenities and the setting. The rooms were historically preserved with period correct decor and extremely clean! The... More

My husband and I stayed here for a night to celebrate an anniversary. We stayed in the french colonial room which has it's own entrance on Main Street. The decor of this inn is lovely. Unlike many bed and breakfasts this one was professionally decorated. It is the perfect combination of upscale, authentic, and cozy. The owners love history and... More

We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson suite for our wedding anniversary. We had the private dinner in the stone alcove, which was absolutely perfect! The setting was romantic, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the inn down the street the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the heart of downtown Main Street... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the summer solstice. We stayed in the spanish room and had access to a lovely little porch just outside our room. Thursday evening, we were able to enjoy a summer concert held at the bandstand a few hundred yards across the road in a riverside park with a walking/running/biking trail. We were far enough... More

I am a local resident and booked the Thomas Jefferson room for our wedding anniversary. While looking the place over, Venetia suggested that they could provide an intimate, candlelit dinner for two outside in a private alcove which I added. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. When we opened the door to our room, we stepped... More
