i've stayed at the school house b&b several times in the past year and each time i never want to leave! it's the perfect getaway to destress - it's a very unusual setting in a cool old brick school and everything is top notch. the rooms are spacious and well-appointed, the food is wonderful, and the hosts are most gracious!... more

When you check into the School House Inn, you are greeted by the friendly proprietors, Lisa and Mike. They offer you a delicious home-baked peanutbutter chocolate chip cookie and immediately, you feel at home. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The beds are wonderfully warm and soft; rarely have I had such good nights sleep in a commercial... more

I feel that my husband and I have discovered a little "jewel box". We came here just to take a break from our normal routine; but the minute we stepped through the door of this unique porthole in time, we could feel our stress just melting away. Our gracious hosts, Mike and Lisa, provied an atmosphere that was incredible! The... more

My husband and I spent New Year's weekend relaxing at the School House B & B. Our hosts, Mike and Lisa, offered just the right level of involvement in our stay. They were warm and welcoming, helped us find our room and explained the amenities. The room was cozy and inviting, the bathroom spotless and well-stocked with fluffy towels &... more

The new dormitory option with the School House is certainly more moderately priced ($140) than the rooms in the main building, but the room was tiny and you could hear the people all around you talking in normal tones, closing doors and doing various OTHER things (if you get my drift). It brought back memories of my first college apartment... more

I just finished a 4 night stay at the School House B&B in Rocheport, MO, and it was perfect. I stayed in the south dorm room just off of the main house, and it was perfect for my needs. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I slept on the very comfortable fold-out futon bed (there's the futon and... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful weekend at the School House B&B in Rocheport MO. It's in an old schoolhouse built around 1914, and it has been lovingly decorated. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely well-appointed. The breakfasts are out of this world. The innkeepers do everything possible to make guests welcome and comfortable. We try... more

Mike and Lisa are inviting and gracious hosts. We enjoyed strolling the Katy trail, eating at the winery and lounging about at the School House. On Sunday night we had the place to ourselves and felt like kings! We enjoyed a relaxing time of reading books and working on a few puzzles. Hint: Get a room with a jetted tub...... more

This is one of the nicest B&Bs we have ever stayed in. It has a unique and fun filled history, with all the modern charm and comforts any guest could want. The owners are very detailed oriented from the complimentary water bottles, to the comfy robes, to the 170 gallon hot water heater that ensures you will be able to... more
